Hey Jay, I was just reading on the DCC website that you're going to be running an open ring game down at the DCC alot of the nights between 12AM-8AM. Was just wondering if you can give some info on this? Thanks.

Sure, we did it last year and got some premier players to go at it. It was shown on Billiard Club Network live, on the TV table. We had a $50 Ring Ten Ball game three nights and a $100 game one night. Johnny requested the bigger game and then proceeded to rob it for a couple of thou.
One night we had Efren playing Scott Frost some One Hole, since we couldn't get enough players for a Ring Game. One interesting note, the filipino players were all anxious to play in the Ring Game. The problem was finding opponents for Dennis O., Alex, Parica, Lee Van, Luat and Efren. Dennis was the first one there every night waiting for the game to kick off.
We'll have a go this year too, starting at Midnite.

So if Dennis,Alex,Parica,Luat,Efren,Lee Van are all having trouble finding apponents than why not a ALL philipino ring game.That would be a great one to watch.jay helfert said:

Thanks Jay, hope to be able to join Mike at DCC. Thinking about you putting together such a great additional side event in conjunction with DCC made me really think...
with all the unique situations that pop up in this crazy, brilliant and wonderful sport - ok, so what if...a little "dysfunction" comes into play periodically. The reality is, when the day breaks that all of us can say it is never a dull moment. Ours is a sport of passion, risk, faith, love and determination. It is, win or lose, on the cheap or in the flush, always one hell of a ride!
