Jayson Shaw in the Hunt for Another 14.1 Record

Don’t know exactly.

But I have seen a photo and all I can say is that two balls fit into the corner pockets. I’d say they are comparable to the pockets Jayson set his previous run on.

If Bobby wants to release exact specs that’s up to him.

All that would be needed is a cardboard cutout in the shape of the pocket opening with a ruler laid across the mouth points and across the throat points. Showing the shelf depth (how far past the mouth points) would be a bonus.

You could do the same with an actual pocket, but that's prone to camera angle distortion.

So the cable company continues to do what cable companies do (not provide a connection) and Jayson is tired of sitting around so he’s running balls.

We are recording and will post up the videos later of any significant runs. In the meantime please feel free to engage in the conspiracy theory of your choice.

After playing on the 10’ Brunswick snooker table in my hometown room I was shocked to see the guys in England running balls down the rail and making them. I didn’t think it was possible.

I don't know about the table you played on but the old tables I played snooker on required helping english to run a ball down the rail and be pocketed. I was almost entirely self-taught, totally self-taught on the snooker table, and I discovered helping english by accident. After that a little experimentation proved it to be real and to work.

After cutting my snooker teeth on a golf table I did think those "pro" Riley tables didn't look that tough. Interesting thing, I was talking to a young man from the Philippines, Bobby H, and got to talking about that old snooker table and the pockets on it. He got excited, "that is just like the table I learned on!"

You can google and get all the specs for a standard GC4 sonewhere to satify your curiosity.
Ita a standard GC4 table. Lets move on damn.

The amount of ads on the screen make this run unwatchable.
upper left, bottom, different view on right, logo.

I could understand during racking or breaks, but it just takes the eye away from the table.

Sponsors deserve eyeballs.

you did know
this is a FREE stream
right
That gets old Lou.
If you can't see how bad it looks with the screen so crowded, then I don't know what to tell you.
You can read the live chat and see how many people don't like it.

Also, would love to see some metrics on the "sponsors" and how many people watching 14.1 buy anything from them based on seeing that stream.
Can't see people buying a cue because Nick Varner cues popped up.

Well we can shut the chat down for just a few people complaining. If anyone doesnt like the free stream send us your address so we can send a refund out. Some people just dont get it. Its simple produce your own event and make it the way you want and STFU about ours.

Funny story -- Bobby has posted here a few times, and told me many more times privately: if we silver-plate it, they'll want it gold-plated, and if we gold-plate they'll want to know why its not platinum.

For the longest time, I told him it wasn't really like that. But, here I have you complaining about a free stream that has a too crowded screen for you, with ads for sponsors that are financially supporting the event, despite the fact that their support allows everyone to watch it for free.

It bothers you.

And now you want advertiser analytics, people want pocket measurements, they bitch because I don't put enough sprinkles and chocolate chips on my responses to their often insulting posts. And this goes on, but that's AZ and the reason I was asked to do this is because I'm one of the few guy who have been around long to take this crap in stride.

I can now see how many of you have proven that Bobby was right in his initial assessment all along. But we'll press on. We know there are many, many of you that totally dig what we're doing. That's good enough.

Actually, a pic of an actual pocket with rulers laid across the mouth and throat points is all that's really needed to accurately get both the mouth width and the facing angles. Easy peasy, and no distortion.

Personally, I don't care whether or not there's a universally accepted high run record. But objectively speaking, I'd think standardizing table conditions for exhibition run records is necessary to get them widely recognized as something more than AzB topics.

Bobby, Be totally assured that the occasional endless, unfair streams of full-blown negative energy from a few dozen predictable quarters during your events, are overwhelmingly countered by the positive energy sent your way by a great number of fair-minded, highly-appreciative supporters -- whether silent or public -- who greatly admire you (and Lou) personally, and the 14.1 enterprise you've generously created together and maintain on our behalf as enormous fans of our mutually beloved 14.1.

Thanks for the stream. Some feedback for your camera setup: please lock both the focus and the white balance, removing both from auto mode. It will stop the screen from jumping and changing colors all the time. Both cameras are doing it. Thanks.

Very professional.
And you wonder why you take heat.
Sure sponsors love you telling people to shut the f*ck up, right?

It would take a few minutes to show it and get past it - you’ve spent multiples of that amount of time telling people to STFU.

But OK - like you’ve also said many times, it’s your party. I hope Jason isn’t disappointed with how his “record” is received.
