During many negotiations it can look like both sides are stuck but me, being the ever-optimistic fellow I am, I believe that if they want it to happen, Lou and John can work out the details for this re-match.

Stay civil and make some progress boys.

Lots of people would like to see this go off.

There's a real $20k carrot being dangled with just a few basic logistical issues to work out.

Get them worked out. :cool:

Looks like someone stepped up to back Lou so he only needs to say yes and set a date to begin playing. I hope it comes off as well, mostly.
 
I was sad to see the original thread closed. Everyone was behaving reasonably, and when they aren't going off the rails, the JB-and-Lou Show is entertaining.

Livens up the forum, until they get down into the mud.

You know how this works.. Dave gets to chastise me and close the thread so the last word is always a critique of me. Not my forum not my choice. All I can do is try to be polite and make my points when needed.

I don't know really WHY it was closed and nor will I pursue it. The deadline has been set to accept the offer and we don't need a week of bantering since my terms are clear and non-negotiable.
 
Why don`t they play a real game, like 10 ball or 14.1.
One pocket is mindnumbingly boring!

To advertise my cases of course. My 30 years of industry experience won't be used to help anyone with case questions or other factual data about the industry.

wait.....maybe I came back to hatch a diabolical plan to destroy AZB by becoming a super troll magnet and creating such an energy imbalance that the whole thing implodes like a black hole......

Played right it can be for sure. But the way I play it's like women's tennis in the 80s, you never knew if you were going to see a great shot or a rookie error.

My style of one pocket is best described as "shots that don't go but looked really good for some reason."

One of these days I will invent a new one pocket shot or beat the unbeatable kiss. I don't care if costs me $50,000 to do it. :-)

I agree. It was at least a diversion to see what was being said in the Aiming Poll thread before I checked out the others.

Its kind of like taking away the cheese in the trap. I don't say near as much here as I used to because I know its going to the dungeon. So why bother. The question is was it because some poster here got his/her panties in a wad because it was in the Main Forum or was the Mods? and who is running this site if its a poster? Inquiring Minds would love to know!
 
Conflict is the nature of pool...always has been and always will be.
No different from the stock market except the market players wear fancier clothes and use language like "open a new position" instead of "got 'em by the brazillians"
Just my opinion, based on years of observation and making bad bets.

Same here for me. The only reason i could see that is was closed was because John was barking a little too much for Mr. Wilson's liking. Pathetic.

Of course they are not obligated to give a reason, but it is in their best interests to not drive away longtime contributors to the forum, without good reason.

I'm among the first to be happy when those who need to be banned, are.... And I realize moderating this mess must be a headache.

That still doesn't mean that we can't question the process, especially when all were behaving reasonably. For a change.

Fully agree. I see no reason to ever close a thread really. If people are breaking the rules deal with them and font punish everyone by cutting off a popular thread.

Hell of a bluff to make in public against a better player then. There are at least five players in okc around lous speed that would instantly call me and they would have to choose backers by lottery.
