you're not gonna out argue me, the $3500 you claim is about $600 in materials and cheap chinese labor, go tell that shit to someone else. Your suggestions don't count for nothing, you just happened to reply before another cue case maker. I open and reply to whatever thread I want, I never said I didn't like this thread or you for that matter, this discussion just happened on a thread targeted at you, so you bear the burden of the example, this doesn't exclude other businesses. and whatever happened in the past is the past, I look to the future, I couldn't care less what others have done or said before me. You claim to be outspoken, don't condemn anyone else who does the same, that makes you an hypocrite.oh and its not all about "YOU", narcissist. yes, you suffer with narcissistic personality disorder, and the first step is admitting to it and accepting it. there's other people in the world, it doesn't revolve around you. and if you think I'm wrong, I can have a colleague read your posts and reply and come with a professional diagnosis. try to have an argument in a thread that doesn't somehow come back to you, and the thread was started because someone thinks you have excessive threads and replies to others threads, not you and lou talking pool, your mind just can't get around that.
Haha, that's your first mistake. I can "out argue" anyone on this site and it's flat stealing. Now that's not a virtue.
Let's put aside the "value" of my case contributions for a moment and the value of my input. Let's discuss the concept of being outspoken.
I NEVER have condemned anyone for being outspoken. I condemn those that defame and troll. Those who use this pulpit to anonymously in most cases, harass others and stalk them for the purpose of getting a rise out of them are to condemned and should be virtually eliminated. Those who can make their points with civility and without stalking and harassment should be allowed to discuss as long as they wish to.
In fact I have suggested to Mike and Jerry that there be a sandbox section where long-running discussions that are going in circles can be moved to so that the participants can continue to play as long as they are willing.
Now, as to your "diagnosis", try again. I am here because I have a billiard business I wish to market and because I am a pool player who likes to discuss pool related topics.
To that end I will speak up on any topic when I chose to as often as I choose to. I rely on my eperiences over the past 30 years to fill the content of my posts. These are often experiences that most here have not had in some aspects and in others they are similar experiences that most die hard pool players have had.
Now to the value of my contributions.
#1 I have more experience as a cue case maker than any person on this forum. Is that bragging or simply a fact. I don't know of any other maker that has done the breadth and depth of cases that I have created, that my shop has made under my direction. So I would say that my advice is worthwhile and sometimes is in fact more knoweldgeable than what my colleauges might say if they wanted to share.
#2. I have been in the industry for 26 years. I often clear up misconceptions and outright fabrications posted by members because I happen to know the facts of the situations. Sometimes these misconceptions and fabrications would have been quite harmful to the reputations of others in the business without someone like me to post the factual information.
Sometimes I simply help those in need make the connections they need to do their business. I do this because in 26 years I have built a library of connections and once in a while I am the one who can provide the right answer. I think that's a pretty good resource. Can you provide that?
#3. I contribute financially to members in need. It is precisely BECAUSE I am able to sell my wares here through my presence that I am able to do this. Also being present makes me AWARE of members in need that I can contribute to. Sometimes I have taken the lead to get help to members and sometimes I have just contributed. So I think that a business who shares by giving back to the community in times of need is also a valuable resource.
#4. Which brings us all the back to the actual value of my products....even if my products cost me .50cts to build they are worth much more to the people who own them. So when I say I donated x-amount then that amount is at retail. OF COURSE the products cost me less than that to build, that's how the world of commerce works. You don't work for subsistence wages either I presume, or do you? I am going to go out on a limb and guess you are some sort of psychologist? If so do you count pro-bono hours by the net cost or the gross cost. If you donate 10 hours of time to the local hospital for counseling do you say you donated $1000 worth of time or $500 worth of time.
The overriding point is that I donated cases which have enough value to entice MORE people to sign up as Gold Members thus helping AZB Billiards to be funded and continue in existence. So that you in turn will have a place to harass me as much as you can get away with.
