JB's AZB

And you refused to play again when given the opportunity. I would have paid to stream that as well. Do you need a picture of the bag of money to remind you?

Talking of pics, streams and large piles of cash, did you watch Lou's recent 14.1 video?

I have no idea what you're talking about.

You were tapped out at the match -- wife wouldn't let you bet more; just made a big investment in the company; wouldn't take side bets; wouldn't bet the $25K I wanted to bet; wouldn't honor the $500 a game side bet we had -- and more recently you've repeatedly said that you'd post an offer here when you're ready.

If you made that proposition I missed it. Please show me where it was :-)

I suspect it'll be in his match report thread from the first encounter. No, wait...

Don't worry Lou, you were asked to flip it and you declined. Said you needed "time to think about it."

I will post an offer when I am ready.

As for being tapped out, I didn't want to bet more for the reasons I gave AND because you were too chicken to accept my double the bet offer MONTHS before the match.

You thought you could high roll me a few days before the match at the start of my show and it backfired on you. When I asked you STRAIGHT OUT to double the bet and POST ALL OF IT in January and February you wouldn't even answer.

I said POST the WHOLE 20k making it 40k in the middle and you didn't bother to answer. I asked you at least three times to do that.

So, no, you lost your opportunity to bet more when it was offered TO you.

I could have bet more if I had wanted to. Karen and I agreed not to because our other obligations were more important to us. We spent more money than you make buying and selling cases and so we didn't feel like risking more on the testosterone festival.

But the FACT remains that you were asked to go again immediately after the match finished and you know who asked you. If you really want to bring him in then go ahead and deny it and he may show up to remind you of the conversation.

I am never tapped out Lou. And unlike you if I had won the WHOLE 10k would have been mine, I don't need backers like you do. When you claimed you had people begging to invest in you I said Double the Bet and Post it All. No one showed up to do that. Not one person, not you not Mike, no one. So save it.

Why do these pissing contests seem to go on and on? And how does this help pool?

Talking of pics, streams and large piles of cash, did you watch Lou's recent 14.1 video?

No, was he playing someone 14.1 for a large pile of cash on stream? I would be willing to stake any number of players against him in a big block format if he can find the backing.

Or did he run a bunch of racks by himself?

One pocket and 14.1 are very different games.

Does everything have to be about helping pool? one of the biggest pissing matches ever resulted in a huge intercontinental match between Andre Gagineaux, the old Lion, vs. Willie "the Boy Wonder" Hoppe. It was front page news in two countries and the bets were large and numerous.

Sometimes boys just want to be boys.

You, nor a proxy, asked me to play you again, or flip it, for $20 much less $20k.

It took you four months to have the guts to fabricate and try and float this lie. If I had actually refused after the match you would have been *all over it* from the get go: Lou refused to flip it. Lou refused to let me go again. Lou wouldn't give me a shot at my dough. And so on and so forth.

Moments before we started you wouldn't take a lousy $100 side bet that was shouted out to you ringside. You wouldn't honor the $500 a game side bet we had. You didn't "stack it" to a $30K cap. You canceled all side bets on the flimsiest of excuses. And now, magically, months later, you had another $20K to bet and I refused to take the bet after having just beat you 9-6 for $10K?!

But you know what, John? The only part of your post that really matters is this: "I will post an offer when I am ready." Good to know I haven't missed anything ;-)

I use this forum for marketing and for personal reasons. I have always felt that a forum is a perfect place for the business owner to stay in touch with the consumer base. Sure sometimes that means fading nonsense and trolls.

The overriding goal for AZB is in my opinion to provide a place for fairly open discussion AND to get lots of pageviews. Thus good spirited discussion often serves both purposes.

Some business folks are very low key and others like me are very outspoken. My colleagues in the industry actually laugh at me and ask why I bother responding to trolls and idiots. Some of them though have said thank you to me for standing up and saying the things that they feel they can't say to this crowd. I tell them that I am speaking to a larger audience than just the relatively few who post.

I am speaking to the ones who lurk and read and who come to me at shows telling me they are impressed that I speak my mind. I have traveled the world and this year traveled America and I can tell you that hundreds of people have come up and shaken my hand because of things I have said on AZB.

So I don't speak for the few, I speak to the larger majority who do get it.
still doesn't change the fact that you are here to help one person, you. AZBtv wouldn't have to charge for streams if the businesses who post here free would pay for a legit advertisement.
That's the site owner and moderator's decision I would think. I personally have no issue with guys like JB posting as well as cue makers. Sometimes you have to sift through a bucket of coal to find the diamond but it generally seems to be worth it.

Once again, there is the ignore function for those posters who bother you. I have several on ignore, it works wonders in improving the site experience.
If I wanted to ignore it I would have Mr.Obviousness. I didn't want to so I posted a reply, i don't need you telling me how to conduct myself with your cop-out reply, thanks.

Brian, Kickin' Chicken, asked you to play again. He showed you the money. You said, "I have to think about it".

Now you can call him a liar if you want to.

And again Lou, you should have taken the opportunity to DOUBLE the bet and have it ALL posted before the match when it was offered to you. I know it stings that you only won a couple grand after all that but hey, that's what happens when you are afraid to bet your own.

Hmmm, well let's see....I gave over $3500 in cases to AZB this year with more coming. Also I provide lots of help to those who have case questions, I have provided both detailed advice, drawings and even materials to those who have wanted to get started making cases. I also help people find what they are looking for and share my experiences from traveling the world. I have done trip reports, have reported live on events in China.

I have also donated to many causes, helped members out with their personal issues, donated to disaster relief for affected members, etc...

So yeah, it's terrible to have a guy like me here on AZB. Awful that once in a while you are presented with a thread you don't personally like. Terrible that somehow there is a virus on your computer that compels you to open threads you don't like instead of scrolling past them.

YES IT DOES. WE'RE IN A POOL/BILLIARDS FORUM. HEELLOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well if that's the case then you better get really busy going back over the past ten year's worth of threads on this forum because you have a LOT of cleaning up and complaining to do.

This is a pool forum so Lou and I can talk about a pool match. We should be able to without the knock - but knocking is what comes easiest to everyone. In fact this thread was not started to talk about pool but instead JUST to knock me.

you're not gonna out argue me, the $3500 you claim is about $600 in materials and cheap chinese labor, go tell that shit to someone else. Your suggestions don't count for nothing, you just happened to reply before another cue case maker with the end result is advertise your brand. I open and reply to whatever thread I want, I never said I didn't like this thread or you for that matter, this discussion just happened on a thread targeted at you, so you bear the burden of the example, this doesn't exclude other businesses. and whatever happened in the past is the past, I look to the future, I couldn't care less what others have done or said before me. You claim to be outspoken, don't condemn anyone else who does the same, that makes you an hypocrite.oh and its not all about "YOU", narcissist. yes, you suffer with narcissistic personality disorder, and the first step is admitting to it and accepting it. there's other people in the world, it doesn't revolve around you. and if you think I'm wrong, I can have a colleague read your posts and reply and come with a professional diagnosis. try to have an argument in a thread that doesn't somehow come back to you, and the thread was started because someone thinks you have excessive threads and replies to others threads, not you and lou talking pool, your mind just can't get around that.

I think woofing has a lot to do with pool.
I seen games that were three days in the making....and that was LIVE...
...face to face in a pool hall.

Posting, emailing, phoning, etc...takes longer.
And we, the AZ members, get entertained.

...what's not to like?

Haha, that's your first mistake. I can "out argue" anyone on this site and it's flat stealing. Now that's not a virtue.

Let's put aside the "value" of my case contributions for a moment and the value of my input. Let's discuss the concept of being outspoken.

I NEVER have condemned anyone for being outspoken. I condemn those that defame and troll. Those who use this pulpit to anonymously in most cases, harass others and stalk them for the purpose of getting a rise out of them are to condemned and should be virtually eliminated. Those who can make their points with civility and without stalking and harassment should be allowed to discuss as long as they wish to.

In fact I have suggested to Mike and Jerry that there be a sandbox section where long-running discussions that are going in circles can be moved to so that the participants can continue to play as long as they are willing.

Now, as to your "diagnosis", try again. I am here because I have a billiard business I wish to market and because I am a pool player who likes to discuss pool related topics.

To that end I will speak up on any topic when I chose to as often as I choose to. I rely on my eperiences over the past 30 years to fill the content of my posts. These are often experiences that most here have not had in some aspects and in others they are similar experiences that most die hard pool players have had.

Now to the value of my contributions.

#1 I have more experience as a cue case maker than any person on this forum. Is that bragging or simply a fact. I don't know of any other maker that has done the breadth and depth of cases that I have created, that my shop has made under my direction. So I would say that my advice is worthwhile and sometimes is in fact more knoweldgeable than what my colleauges might say if they wanted to share.

#2. I have been in the industry for 26 years. I often clear up misconceptions and outright fabrications posted by members because I happen to know the facts of the situations. Sometimes these misconceptions and fabrications would have been quite harmful to the reputations of others in the business without someone like me to post the factual information.

Sometimes I simply help those in need make the connections they need to do their business. I do this because in 26 years I have built a library of connections and once in a while I am the one who can provide the right answer. I think that's a pretty good resource. Can you provide that?

#3. I contribute financially to members in need. It is precisely BECAUSE I am able to sell my wares here through my presence that I am able to do this. Also being present makes me AWARE of members in need that I can contribute to. Sometimes I have taken the lead to get help to members and sometimes I have just contributed. So I think that a business who shares by giving back to the community in times of need is also a valuable resource.

#4. Which brings us all the back to the actual value of my products....even if my products cost me .50cts to build they are worth much more to the people who own them. So when I say I donated x-amount then that amount is at retail. OF COURSE the products cost me less than that to build, that's how the world of commerce works. You don't work for subsistence wages either I presume, or do you? I am going to go out on a limb and guess you are some sort of psychologist? If so do you count pro-bono hours by the net cost or the gross cost. If you donate 10 hours of time to the local hospital for counseling do you say you donated $1000 worth of time or $500 worth of time.

The overriding point is that I donated cases which have enough value to entice MORE people to sign up as Gold Members thus helping AZB Billiards to be funded and continue in existence. So that you in turn will have a place to harass me as much as you can get away with.

So you've bought yourself out of further bannings... explains a lot.
