Wish I could have seen him during his prime . . . .Vahe said:I would be extremely surprised if Gene wanted to play. I don't think competetive pool has crossed his mind much since he gave up tournament pool many years ago.
He did have a major imapct in getting Jeanette Lee to the top of her game and has helped and continues to help many players from beginners to seasoned pros.
He has told me he has had 2 runs in the low 400s, a bunch of 300s and tons of 100s.
I haven't visited him in a while.
I think I should.

Jude Rosenstock said:Take my word for it, she's very soild at straight pool. I've seen her play straight dozens of times over the years and during that time, seen her have some impressive runs. I honestly think it'll be a real treat to have her there and hope that she's recouped enough to handle the necessary practice-time it will require to be ready for this event. Last I saw her, it was a few months after surgery and you can tell it's been tough.
Seriously, she's run a 100 multiple times. Anyone with a resume like hers SHOULD be invited.
