Jeanette Lee's cousin is here with me in Iraq

See? It didn't take him long, did it? Some people seem to think that the 12 rockets the insurgents fired into my compound a few days ago cared that I was a civilian. :D We had one civilian who had only been here a month or two freak out and he was on a plane tonight.

Trust me. It takes a certain type to just shrug if off when artillery is exploding all around you, even as a civilian. I sleep during the day in a thin aluminum trailer with no overhead protection, WHEN all of the mortar and rocket fire comes in, bsmutz, so PISS OFF!

Russ,
Sorry!!!! (not) WTF did I do to deserve this tirade? I was merely pointing out, AGAIN, as many people on here have, that you are not in the military. If you want to jump to conclusions, it would seem that the more logical one (to anyone with half a brain) would be that everyone over here that sees a post from someone in Iraq automatically assumes that they are in the military.
I am fully aware that inanimate objects are incapable of feeling or thinking and have been since early childhood. I also realize that it is mentally and physically debilitating living and working in a combat zone. I don't need to have these things pointed out to me. I'm happy for you that you can shrug it off, although given the tone of many of your posts, I have to say that it doesn't seem like you are just shrugging it off. Of course, it is entirely possible that your normal demeanor has always been antagonistic. Enjoy your stay!

Don't be too hard on Russ dude. remember that he's in Iraq and might just be trying to release some steam off, because his favorite pool table now got 7 holes because of that rocket attack. :D

I just don't get what people's reasoning is behind constantly reminding everyone that I am not in the military.... And most of the people doing so ignore the fact that I am the one who usually corrects people on that.

But I suppose it was not your intention at all to minimize the respect people have for the fact that I am in Baghfreakingdad, Iraq, no matter WHAT my job title is.

No, I believe that's EXACTLY what you were going for. Here's an idea for you, bsmutz. I am perfectly capable of telling people I am no longer in the military, and I willingly do so, so how's about you don't act like my Daddy, okay?

That's what hacked me off. THAT was the point behind my "tirade". The fact that you felt you NEEDED to tell everyone insinuated that I am trying to soak up glory, even though I am not longer actively serving. I take offense to the very CONCEPT of that. You offend EVERYTHING I stand for by acting like I am willing to decieve people into thinking I am military serving over here.

Next time, why don't you just keep your mouth shut, and your eyes open, instead of assuming the worst? Hmmmmmmmmmm?

Lol... Good one. No, his insinuation that I am trying to mislead people is what really hacked me off, as I explained in my previous post.

Hey.. Would seven holes makes it easier to play??? :D :D :D

FIRE ! FIRE ! quick, change the channel ! :D :D :D

Wow, you are quite the mind reader, Russ. I guess it never occurred to you that I was merely pointing out a fact to someone who had made an erroneous assumption and trying to save you some time in the process (so you would have more to do your work and get some sleep so that our country will be safer). No, it has to be about calling Russ The Big Deceiver and questioning his integrity (which you have spent many hours defending on this forum, ad nauseum). I guess you're right, Russ. We are all here just to attack you and diminish your well-earned respect. It's a big conspiracy cleverly hidden as a pool forum. Get over yourself and take your own advice. (Just to let you know, I type with my mouth shut, so your assumption was definitely wrong on that account.)

Russ would never mislead people. The fact he became "Short BUS" had nothing to do with his attempt to mislead. He just figured he would go from a C player to better than shortstop speed before anyone noticed.

Yup.. But I don't think you'll believe in that C player stuff after I take the 10-7 you offered me and I cram it up your ***..... :D :D :D

But, while you still are convinced you know my speed, please let me know which pool hall you play out of, and your full name, so I know where to come to get that sweet, sweet, game.
