You are correct about me confusing you for someone else.
Yeah, I'm pretty new to AZ, just getting used to my surroundings.
quick urban dictionary check says the word's being misused in this instance anyways. So while I'm wrong on multiple counts, at least I'm not the only one.![]()
LOL no worries.
The actual word Nit, refers to a small bug (like a flea). It's reference in pool is slang for someone who nitpicks or is nitpicking. The word nitpicking refers to removing nits, but is also defined as finding minute flaws. In other words:
Saying so-and-so is nitpicking, because they said Jeffery Ignacio overran position, is in the correct context.
Saying so-and-so is nitpicking (or the slang word nitty), because they won't gamble, is the incorrect usage of the word.
You will learn, especially on AzB, that the majority of pool players are quite stupid and only the small few on AzB actually have decent grammatical skills, but you will find that they are divided, still, by the ones who want to be cool and the ones who are realists. Tis life, I suppose.
Carry on, mate, and good luck enjoying AzB. Oh, and don't ask about Panjo.
