Jeff's BCM Cue

Figured California Redwood BCM Cue

This cue is still missing.

Hello,

A couple of weeks ago I made a deal with Jeff Woodring on this cue...

It was made from figured California redwood. There isn't another cue like it.

Jeff was an old friend and told me he needed a cue. We worked out a deal where he would pay me for it the following week and it never happened. He made a few excuses then stopped answering my calls, emails, and texts. I was worried about him until I called from another number and he picked up immediately. I realized at this point that I made a big mistake in how dealt with this person. I explained to Jeff that if something happened and he couldn't afford the cue now to please return it, he hasn't.

I do not make a lot of money building cues but it is how I support my family. Every cue I make is important to me both as a cue maker and a provider for my family.

Jeff Woodring owns a drywall contracting business and works all over the state. He lives in Phoenix but may be down in Tucson right now on a job.

I am now hoping that somehow I can get the cue returned. If someone spots the cue out there in a bar or pool hall to please give me a call or text at 602-625-1042. Jeff may have sold it or he may be out there still playing with it. I can offer a small reward for its return.

I appreciate any help my fellow AZers can provide.

Thank you,
Bryan Mordt

Nice

That is Some Very Beautiful Wood Bryan. That Ringwork and White Phenalic Really Makes it Pop Out!

NIce......

Very nice. Very clean!

Sounds like maybe some good news. Hope it works out well for you, Bryan. Nice looking cue.

It's a shame someone decided to take advantage of your kindness. I hope you are able to get your cue back. In my opinion, stealing and dishonesty are intolerable.

The cue itself is very pleasing to the eye. The wood has great figure. Your choice of ringwork is just enough but does not distract.

Good Luck in finding a crook,
Chris

Good news?

I hate to hear this Bryan!! For anyone who doesn't know.......BCM is about as honorable an individual, as I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with! A very kind gesture, should be rewarded, not taken advantage of. Truly sorry to hear this Bryan. Hope it all worked out.......:)

Did you ever get the cue returned ? If so is it going to be for sale ? <<ED

This cue is still missing. I called they guy today from a different number and he answered his phone. When I asked about getting it back he hung up on me. I've probably known this guy for 20 years and never expected this from him.

If and when it is returned I will definitely clean it up and offer it for sale.

What a damned shame. Sorry to hear about this disaster, Mr. Mordt. You went out of your way to do something kind...and were repaid like this?

Hope you get it back quick...or, at least, the money owed for it.

Take care, and best of luck.

The cue is great, BTW. Stunning wood grain.

Typically, revenge can be an ugly thing...but this guy abused his friendship with you, and there is really no coming back from a thing such as that.

I would suggest you hit him where it hurts...in his own wallet. Please post up his business info as you did in a previous post in the Main section. People should have this info, and should affect a boycott of his services immediately. If he was this dishonest with you, one can only imagine his dishonesty while doing contract work for others through his business.

Fair is fair!

Not right

Sorry to hear of this incident Bryan, you are a stand up and guy and it too bad to see how trying help a person hurts you in the end.

Bryan is too good of a man to have this happen and somebody should find this cue!

I would be interested if this cue is returned. I have a cue on order that will be made of Redwood Burl and I think it may compliment it well.
