I wasn't aware that you and I were having a discussion.

Maybe the owners of this web site should require posters to be 18 and over, considering the amount of sexual content that people seem to insist on posting. That would at least be more responsible than inviting children to participate by setting up a forum for the Billiard Education Foundation and then blaming their parents for letting them come here.

Fran, look at half the avatars on this site and there is a gambling thread. I don't know how you can bust scsuxcis balls for talking about masterbation before trying to ban half naked pics and degenerate betting.

I have kept my mouth shut on this one but unless the mods feel he has broken a rule maybe you should let it go. It is not Fran's board. It's Mike's. Not that it applies here, as AZB is a private forum but do you support freedom of speech?
 
Wow, uptight much? He made a sideways remark about the "Spank Bank" ... you've called him a degenerate, judged his standards, and said you pity his family and wife. As far as forum etiquette goes, I think you are the one way out of line Fran.

*edit* By the way, have you seen the funny gif/joke thread? Last post I saw by the moderator of this forum had a picture with the caption of "You can't have subtext without buttsex." How about not jumping on one guy who made an offhand comment and petitioning your issues with the people who actually run this forum if you think it is so wrong.

I'll say this again one last time and then I'm done. That person had MULTIPLE sexual posts on a billiard web site. That is alarming.

Call me whatever you like but I am on the right side of this. Sure, the owners of this web site apparently give posters certain freedom to make choices. I choose to be aware that kids are around.

You want to ignore that, then by all means, be my guest. Go for it. Get raunchy. It's your life and your conscience.

Oh and one more thing I forgot to mention: You all keep going on and on about what you can do for the sport and how you can make it grow. I have had a lot of experience in the process of trying to get mainstream sponsorship for our sport. One of their main issues is the raunchy reputation our sport holds. Don't think they don't come to forums like this to check us out. You guys just keep reinforcing their opinion over and over.

If you really want to help, then clean up your act in public and keep your raunchiness private.

Some of us feel judgement says more about the judge than it does about the person being judged (point a finger 3 more pointing back at you).

Some of us understand our views on morality and proper behavior are personal.

Some of us understand that mores are cultural and shift like fashion. AZ is on the internet and on a world site. Different cultures have different views on the subject. Anyone want an example, please Google "Argentina Dancing with the Stars Strip" and see what the children in that Country with a TV are exposed to (poor creatures) as acceptable. (using "Dancing with the Stars" to stay on topic).

I think all of us share the belief that the world would be a better place if everyone thought as we do. However, the ways people think are as divergent as fingerprints, so if the only way we can be happy is that everyone needs to think like us, well, that effort is probably not going to lead to success or happiness.

Celebrate life. Celebrate differences. Enjoy folks for what they are rather than what you can make them be.

I'd love to see Jennifer on either our US version, or the Argentinian version of that show.

As distasteful as this person feels I am,I said before to check out all my threads from the beginning and most are about pool or boxing.Granted
I've said jokes that have a sexual nature about it but in no way alarming
or so I thought.
I feel a little bad that this person is so upset about this but the way
they've made this an attack on me personally makes me wonder if this runs
a little deeper than what I said.
If this is about the many infants that browse AZ, that may come across
what I said,how the hell would they know what a ''Spank Bank'' is anyways?
Maybe Fran doesn't realize this but you have to know the meaning of
what I said to be offended,so most little kids wouldn't have a clue
anyways.
To me this person wants to trash someone and I'm the one,lucky me:rolleyes:

Just a few little factoids about Ms. Barretta

Someone stated: "she is not even in the top 10 of the WPBA"...
actually she is currently ranked 8th.

She did not pose nude for Playboy, you can visit her website and see the photos along with a video of her "spanking" Karen Corr that was featured on ESPN, along with some other impressive play.

Yes, she can dance. She was a state fitness champion, before she took up a cue. I have also seen her on the dance floor but what happens in Vegas... ;)

I have been with Jennifer at large billiard events and seen her stopped constantly for autographs and photo requests, which she always graciously complies with. I even watched one guy run across a huge parking to get a cue from his car for her to sign.

She has done a lot to promote this sport, not just herself. I have known her since she first started and played on two teams with her and traveled to many regional events with her and stayed in many a seedy motel and one thing I know about Jenn, no one loves this game more than she does.

There are plenty of people on DWTS I have never heard of...sure it's a long shot but it is sad that many here see it as some kind of ego trip, rather than an opportunity for our sport to get some mainstream recognition and at a time when it is struggling to maintain a professional handhold of any kind, it would be an amazing boost. Why not dream big...

Oh one more thing about Jenn, more than a few people told her she was crazy to think she could ever be a Professional Pool Player.
