When you make Joe Rogan's show, you know you've hit the big time in pool. This is great for pool as a sport. Joe Rogan is a friend to pool for sure.
Joe Rogan is a friend to humanity. I don't always agree with him, but I can always agree to disagree with him. At least he tries to make rational points. Joe has done a lot to help bridge the big divide we have in this country. Fedor and now JJ! Yes, he is a true friend of pool. Thanks Joe!

and this is the best way for joe to do something for pool. joe has the worlds most popular podcast and some of his listeners will for sure check out fedor or watch the mosconi cup (not to mention start playing pool). it feels like pool really has forward momentum now

Getting paid with buried money is something I would never ever think of. With all the new style bills in the past 20 years, it would be crazy to be paid with the “small face” bills and always get funny looks when paying with them.

Check out the differences Here. I wouldn’t want to take anything from before 1996.

That story sounds like it was from the early 90’s, I think before the big pictures on the bills.

I wonder how they protected the buried money. Even if it was in a box, wouldn’t the ground moisture rot it out?

Used to bail hay for a farmer in the summer as a kid. His son, Russell, would pay you at the end of the day.

A good days work deserved a good days wages, so Russell would give you a choice; 10 dollars or a bag of weed.

Hell yeah I took the weed! Only thing was, Russell had spent quite some time in lock-up and had buried his stash before going away.

We dubbed it Russell’s cat-piss weed; catch nothing but a headache. Trade up young man, trade it up.

Who is the European gambler that JJ said he beat recently? He said he played Darren Appleton recently too.

Marcus chamat.
Marcus is the guy he got one over on back in the day. In a different story he talked about a European he’s beat recently. I don’t remember the guys name. It was ahead of the UK Open last year that he was on Facebook calling out all the pros SVB, Albin, etc. for $1k a game. He’s not a well known pro. Crazy guy. Talking about having big balls and kept lifting his shirt and showing his chest and calling himself a thoroughbred.

There are also a couple shorter segments on youtube from the show, for those of us who don't have the subscription.
A free account is enough to watch/listen. You just have the every so often ad break (which can be fast forwarded through on mobile I found out, I assume the same on desktop?)

Great to hear JJ shoot the shit. Next I need to go back for the Fedor episode.
