Now instead of an entertaining drubbing of Team USA, it's going to be a boring drubbing of Team USA.

Any possibility it was a false positive? Or is he excluded based on exposure from days ago?
I don’t think this change has any significance on the outcome of this competition, but it is too bad. Many of us were eagerly anticipating Earl‘s performance as well as whether he’d be able to maintain his composure.
I sure hope Jeremy has been in practice over the last few weeks/months, which I kind of doubt since 100% of his focus has been on preparing the 5 players on the team.

Fishy. Didn’t they travel together,been practicing together but everyone else is ok?
It sounds like it was a possible exposure, like somebody he came into contact with reported a positive test and listed Earl as one of the people spent time with. So no possibility of re-testing or false positive.

That sucks, feel terrible for Earl.
Lets not go down conspiracy lane. Why would they want him out? UK is super strict right now with the new variant out.
Maybe he mouthed off to someone. Who knows. It's just odd. He's practiced with the whole team all week. If he was exposed, the rest of the team was exposed. Kind of dumb to single him out.
