Jerry Rauenzahn Cue in Progress...

I don't understand why his work doesn't. Command
A higher price. The craftsmanship in all his cues I have seen
Is top level. His full splice blanks IMO are way more consistent
Than john Davis or anyone for that matter. The playability factor of them is also
On a superior level. Just don't get the cue market sometimes.

Looks like it will be a nice one GL with it.

I had one of his cues I got in a trade. I wasn't impressed with the hit, or other on the cue.

Maybe I got an exception but I wasn't impressed.

He has made some great looking cues, but the one I played with wasn't so hot.

Nice cue, in BR no less.

My only question is why cover up that beautiful wood with a wrap?

I can't believe it took this long for someone to ask! I am not a fan of wrapless cues, in fact, I'm now addicted to natural wraps. Kind of a function over form thing. I chose BR because of its hit/density and straight grain maple for the same reason...I can't help it if the wood turned out so beautiful...I need the wrap, so....;)

I understand that, regardless of the cues positive qualities, that one thing that you are not used to, or cannot adjust to will haunt you.

Great choices and reasons on the Wood.

Maybe we can meet up sometime. I am off work for the next week, and I will be home in Southern MD.

I plan on putting in some time on my game, which I have not been able to do since August.

I have had Jerry build two cues for me both Full Splice and found no fault with them and love the fact his bottom points come to a point. Contrary to one persons comment here both cues played well. Add the fact that Jerry delivers a cue when he says he will you did well.

I have only two from jerry. One short spliced the other full splice. Both are excellent cues.

Awesome cue.... killer classic design, with just enough "flair" for it to stand out on it's own.

Gotta say, this is one of my favorite looking Jerry R cues I've seen. Spectacular choices on this cue...from the woods...to leaving the full-splice exposed...to the abalone in the wedge...to the choice on the wrap!

Absolutely stunning!!! ;)

Ken made a great point.....any cue may look great but it could still play like shit.
When you are lucky to get a handsome cue that plays & feels great in your hands....well, that's the ultimate in cue happiness.....IMO.
