Jerry's Billiards, Pasadena, CA - Another one biting the dust?

This location seems to have been remodeled. It used to have some carom tables but those seem to have gone away and it now has Gold Crowns and Diamonds. It's getting good reviews. The opening hours issue seems to have been resolved. It's now called Crown City Billiards (Lake Street, Pasadena, CA).

yep, now all those pool hustlers, dope smokers, drinkers and cuss word speaking rebels will have a late night hangout to get into trouble with the god fairing good people of the town.
crime will rise you will see.

and by staying open late if even one person in town is troubled then it will not be worth it.

That's exactly what was going on in their rear parking lot which backed up to residential properties. The neighborhood it backs up against is probably one of the better, it not best know historic neighborhoods in the country, Bungalow Heaven, https://www.bungalowheaven.org/. Empty beer bottles and trash were being thrown in their yards as well as disturbances at 2am. There was even a murder in the parking lot several years ago. The neighborhood association got involved which is why the city wanted them closing at 10pm. Truth be told, if I were living there, I'd be pissed and want them gone too.

The pool hall scenes were shot at Brunswick Billiard Academy on Main St. in Downtown LA. In the 80's it wasn't a pleasant place to be. At all. Ernesto told me serial killer Richard Ramirez a.k.a The Night Stalker was a regular, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Ramirez. He said he was always trying to sell jewelry. Most likely stuff he stole from his victims. Creepy.

I think it varies, I'm fortunate enough to have decent rooms available but some rooms definitely have the type of people that I don't want to spend a lot of time with.

Unfortunately most pool room owners don’t police their patrons. Maybe they can’t afford to throw out all drunks and scumbags.
