But as presented, 10 races to 11...might only be a couple of games difference at the end.

I would agree that SVB is the favorite, but I don't think he ends up >3 sets up every 10.

same way on a 9foot shane probably the best on a diamond.play on a goldcrown i would say hes not the best american player,
 
There's a possibility that a match between the 2 of them could happen.
The tournament at THE CAROM ROOM on August 27,28 in Beloit,Wi has SVB already signed up and paid from the list that Duane has posted. And I've seen Jesse there a couple times for the open tournaments.

I believe if MATT CLATTERBUCK didnt work everyday and just played pool like all the great players do everyday,he would be right up there with those guys,and then we would have more gambling going on amongest the top players ,because MATT has more gamble then any of them ,and i believe he would be gambling with all the top players,but work comes first!

Who is? JA? :boring2: I don't think anyone on the planet can really feel like they have any kind of edge on Shane right now. He is playing with a certain pace and level of confidence that makes him a favorite against anyone in the world. Busta, Alex, Alcano or Orcollo are the only ones I could see having a shot in a long race. *shrug*
 
I'll talk to Duane. If that's true I will definitely be at the carom room aug 27 28. I have seen Bowman play there a few times but the only time svb came to wi at the Olympia open I missed it. I believe svb took 2nd.

Shane is a great player. However, let's not totally dismiss Earl's victory on the 10 footer. Yes, table was unusual. However, both players got a chance to practice on it and both obviously played on the same table during the match

Huh? It was an absoulte gaff in favor of Earl.

Not only is Earl's camp not wanting to play same game on the 9, they ar outright renegeing on their previos agreement that loser could choose if the 9 would follow the 10.

Don't forget about Dave Matlock. Too bad him and some of the other big time players haven't signed up for the tourney at The Carom Room...............

Earl won on the most challenging table around. That should count for something. It cannot be dismissed.

Shane was allowed to practice on the table for days beforehand. It is not like he was cheated. He agreed to it. I remember that almost everybody thought Shane would win that match.

I think Earl has some real personality problems, but that should not detract from the assessment of his pool playing abilities.

I agree that the table did favor Earl (in size only). But, your avatar is discriminating against Bobs all over the world. Let's end Bob hate in our lifetime. :grin:

I would agrreee SVB was not cheated. Misled, yup! Outmoved on the match up, yup!

The 10'er- Gaff, I say! Why was Earl playing with a 96" cue for a month before? Coz he knew he could reach shots where the ball was in the middle of the table with it.

I know SVB likes to think he can play, but take away enough of the middle of the table as an option for his CB and I might give him a little weight. I might give him a little weight, I said.

I believe you are failing to realize how good a 'top player' is.

If you were to put it to height:
Average height: 6'
Clatterbuck:6'10"
SVB: 7'6"

To us, matt/ svb are both big, but in reality, big difference between 6'10" and7'6".

If you goto googles home page and select the video option type in shane van boening wwso as keywords there are a few videos on ustream that are of SVB playing on a barbox 8 ball, even some playing 9 ball. There is even some of the bcapl i think in vegas of the masters where he takes second to someone cant recall his name. Sorry coupd of found the links and posted them up but have to go.
