Jimmy Reid needs our help.....Please read the whole post............

1967 ! !

Jimmy, just purchased package. I would like to tell you when I met you and Barbara in 1967. Puckett introduced me to you at the 1st TEXAS OPEN 14.1 tourney at the Western Hills Hotel at what used to be on the far western outskirts of FT. WORTH, fancy place then. Boy, was Barbara a looker then. I don't remember how you did in the tournament, but Puckett beat Lee Roy Kinman in the finals. Wishing you the best. Robert Newkirk

I was thinking about this last night.

After all the help Jimmy has given so many of us struggling players over the years, I think it is a small token to ask to help the guy out. It's less than the cost of a (really) cheap shaft!

Even if you already have the videos, why not grab a set to give as a Christmas gift for a friend who might need help with their game? Christmas will be here before you know it! You KNOW it wil help them, and they will love it.

Maybe a birthday gift? Maybe a gift for the owner of your favorite room?

I don't know. But let's think about this and pull together!

Jimmy is living with his wonderful mother in Port Saint Lucie, Florida. She's well into her 80's and is still more fit than most women half her age. She is a gem of a lady. Jimmy would love to meet anyone that loves the game as much as he does. Call him at the number in the first post between noon and midnight EST and he will meet you either at Amy's Billiards in Stuart, Florida or at Ultimate Billiards in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Through ticket

Jimmy, you were always a "through ticket," to beat you they had to bust you, and it's the same with the medico's. I know you have zero give-up in your body. After you turned 17 did you ever wonder why I never played you no more?

Love you,
the Beard

Thanks for all your help. Everyone that responded needs to be commended.

I'm so sorry to hear about Jimmy REid's illness. I do not know him personally, but I had the pleasure of watching him play in and around the West Palm Beach area in the 80's. My good friend owned a pool room in town that Jimmy and his then girlfriend frequented. He was involved at the time with a gorgeous girl, named Claire. She was a knock out and very classy, too. She looked like a young Marilyn Monroe, only prettier. I've read stories about Jimmy being a womanizer, etc., but I have to say that all the times that I saw Jimmy and Claire, Jimmy was very respectful to her. I can recall him once after a tournament, picking her up in his arms and carrying her out of the door. Sometimes, in the middle of a tournament match, he would tell her he loved her. Jimmy was head over heels for her. I read on this forum that Reid would "leave a girl when she could tell the difference between a 5 ball and a Florida orange." Let me tell you that Claire could definitely tell the difference--she was very smart and Reid was completely in love with her. I wish Jimmy Reid the very best---he is one of a kind and I enjoyed watching him play pool. He even gave me a few pointers once, nice guy.

I have received my dvds from Jimmy & I recommend them to anyone, whatever your level of play. Not to mention that you will be helping Jimmy with his battle.

Dave

bump for Jimmy. Ordered a set and he sent them right away! Hope he does okay, he's faced the toughest opponent you can ever meet in a lifetime. Wish he is victorious over his disease.

FAST shipping from Jimmy!

Hey, you, reading this! Order your copy now!

It's for two great causes: Hhelping Jimmy, and helping your game.

It's a win-win!

Bump.

I received these DVDs last week and they really are worth the money. Kicking and banking have been the weakest part of my game, next to making balls and making shape, and the DVDs are extremely helpful in understanding the various diamond systems. His DVDs on strategies and patterns are also well worth the price.

Thanks for the kind words about Jimmy. I read the posts to him every day and he loves all that you are doing for him. Bless all of you. Thanks.

I ordered these to help Jimmy out and gave them to my son. He already plays pretty good and has cashed in a few open events. He said what Jimmy showed him about shooting off of the rail was worth the price.

i just ordered a set a few days ago.

can't wait to watch them...

I'm on the road today to make the 150 mile round trip to see Jimmy at his home. He needs some help to relocate some tv sets. I'll post more when I get home. Jimmy thanks you for the purchase. Let us know by a post when you get them and see how your game improves.
