I hope this is avalable in a couple of weeks
Tell Jimmy that Keith says hi. We're both sending positive vibes his way. Jimmy likes being positive. In fact, he once told me that in order to succeed in pool, you must surround yourself with positive energy.
He sure is one of pool's brightest shining stars, heralded by all as a true legend. He does have the respect of the pool community, and Jimmy Reid is recognized and appreciated as a great player. He's one of the fortunate ones in this respect.
I hope he decides to make the trek to the DCC this year. I really do miss hearing that humor of his!![]()
I thought the same thing Joey but man is there some good tips on there. Even just the simple little things Jimmy explains in half a minute. You take it to the table and they work. Highly recommended.
For example, Jimmy explains the long masse shot. I can't tell you how many times that one tip got me outta a nasty safety.
For those who wonder if any TOP PLAYER has mastered the Diamond Systems, you don't need to go any farther than Jimmy Reid's "Almost everything I know" set of DVD's. Jimmy shows that he knows different Diamond Systems better than anyone I have ever spoken to. Your head is almos guaranteed to hurt after trying to follow Jimmy constantly speaking his thougts as he goes through the different Diamond Systems.
ONLY POSITIVE THOUGHTS HEADED YOUR WAY, JIMMY!

When I was at Jimmy's old house in Nashville he started going over all of the Diamond systems and showing me examples.....I just scratched my head and said, "I'm not smart enough for this Jimmy....show me something easier, LOL." Incredibly intelligent guy!
I edited the first page of the thread with the permanent link to Jimmy's merchant page. From there you can see the latest auctions for the greatest pool instructional dvds by far.:grin:Is the set still available? The EBAY link is no longer valid.

Does anyone have anymore Jimmy Reid stoties? The ones I've read so far have been a hoot for me.
Many, many years ago I went to a party in the San Fernando Valley. Someone gave me some acid and I tried it. I got VERY stoned and very paranoid. I walked out of that house and wandered miles to Jimmy's apartment he lived in with Barbara in Hollywood. It was maybe three or four AM when I knocked on his door. A groggy Jimmy comes to the door and seeing I'm in bad shape brings me inside.
He starts talking to me trying to find out what happened to me. Once I tell him, he continues talking to me, recounting pool stories, trying to make me laugh. Barbara gets up and fixes me a big breakfast of bacon and eggs. I'm so wired up I can't sit still. I'm afraid to go out so Jimmy and Barbara make a bed for me on their couch. The last thing Jimmy says to me is, "We can go play some pool tomorrow." Somehow that made me feel better. At that point in my life Jimmy was one of the only people I trusted.
The next day I was fine and walked home to my apartment a couple of miles away. I never forgot that crazy night when I was sure I was going to die. I will always love Jimmy Reid! And Barbara too.
