i just heard that there was an altercation of sorts between hennessee and sparky... any details???

Hennessee is always getting into something.

This should be interesting

I have got to hand it to Jim....he's had some awesome rides over the years. I remember (late 70's?) him having a tricked out yellow Chevy Van that was a real headturner. So much so, it was on the cover of Time magazine.

I went to a few Car shows with him. He did it right...turntables for both the car+motorcycle. Center of attention.

Rick S.

This just in from "The Sleeve": Sparky and Hennesse got into it during a match. Hennesse alegedly said something to Sparky about his girlfriend sharking him when he was shooting. This went on for a little bit and Sparky alegedly told him to shut up about his woman. Hennesse...being Hennesse...said something else and Sparky cold cocked his ass, then hit him twice more as he turned away....alegedly.

To quote The Sleeve "It was cool."

They immediately kicked the Sparkster out and awarded the match win to Hennesse.

In other news, Shane defeated Rafeal 11-8 and is playing Daulton now.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.........

Anyone know how Tommy D"Alfonso is doing (did)?

He just beat Shannon.... neither played too good after the altercation- alot of the players said it was hard to get their concentration back after what happened w/ Henn. & Sparky.

Tommy plays good and is a gentleman at the table- only if everyone could be like that. I am on my way back over- I had to come and print some flyers off at the room an am heading back to sweat Shane and Shannon.

Winners side winners:
Ron Wiseman over Cliff Joyner
Parica over Josh O'neil
Shane over Martinez (one-loss)
Hennessee over Sparky score was tied @ 7-7 (one loss)
Tommy over SD

That's all I can recall. See ya!

Thanks for the update! If you see Tommy, tell him that Bill Porter, Elmer, and everyone at Kickshot Billiards is pulling for him.

Cant agree more. I watched about 4 or 5 hours of Pickle and Tommy matching up in an 11 ahead set. When Tommy was'nt shooting he sat quietly in his chair. When he was shooting he was'nt missing a ball.

I watched Sparky and Cliff playing some one-pocket Sat. night. Sparky seemed like a very calm ,collected guy. I hate that he let Hennessee's mouth cause him to get kicked out. Hopefully Sparky thumped his head hard enough that no one else will have to listen to it the rest of the day.

Pro Players should demand!

"Smoke-free" should be one of the up front demands that pro players make before ever showing up at a venue. For pool to ever make any advances the smoke has to go or it will keep on dying a slow death.

Tommy D'alfonso was anything but a gentlemen when I played him at the WCO last year.Quite frankly,I thought he was a jerk.

I heard Pickel fell out of his chair last night, I hope he is ok, I left Nashville this morning, i was pissed I couldnt go to the pool room, my back was a disaster, so was the plane ride to LA, I feel ok now and am gonna go play, Kong Kong Kevin is gonna get the 5 tonight, he is a good friend and is learning to play.

does anyone know who won in the open division between:

Jeremy Hart v. Chris Bartrum
Tony Fargo v. Gabe Apollos

A quick update, I have been told that the following match-ups are left in the open:
Ronnie Wiseman and Tommy D'Alfonso for the hot seat
and the one-loss side Shane Van Boening and Alex Pagulayan.

The women's division is playing out the finals between Sarah Rousey and Grace Nakamura.

yes once in 86, it was by a Jack-in-the-box? if thats the spot I was in there for 30 minutes and couldnt get anything going it was around midnight, went over to Jack in box and met a girl, I was on the road with a friend I was a c+ player at the time and wasnt doing to well, anyways we had a VW van and I wanted a shower but motel $$ was short, sooooo I got her interested an me, I went to her house with my friewnd and took a shower, her boyfriend showed up when I was getting out of the shower, i pretended to be friends with her mom. My friend is not no street smart and thaqnkfully he didnt blow it, we ended up playing sand vollyball til 4am, took another shower and drove to Tucson and slept behind a transmission shop until the bugs woke us up, I went to Troy Billiards on Raceway a few times and got robbed.

When David Lee had the Free standing Gloden 8-ball I was going there every few months, it was right after Danny D. had a falling out, I made alot of $$$ in that room.

Archer Is Illuminated

One more before I go, I just checked my phone it had a text message that local Josh O'neill had beat Johnny Archer 11-4 to put him in the loser bracket earlier today.

If you and everyone reading this thread will send me $9.50, I'll see if I can set up a Josh O'Neil vs Allison Fisher match....
Doug
( it's going to cost you more IF they both agree to show up, though ) :)

any update job finals?

Tommy DAlfonso and Ronnie Wiseman fought it out for the hot seat with DAlfonso winning on the hill. Van Boening took down Alex P. by the same score and then went on to demolish Wiseman 11-0. In the finals, Van Boening beat DAlfonso 11-9, 11-8.

Sarah Rousey beat Grace N. in the finals of the womens to take home 1st place 7-1.

And of course most know Van Boening won the midnight madness tourny Saturday night.
