I have Joe's aiming workout and use it frequently. It has helped me learn to recognize the contact point on the cue ball. You should always know the contact point on the object ball that's easy, but to learn the contact point on the cue ball is more difficult because you are shooting the ball from the back side. It gives you something to concentrate on and keep focus rather than letting your mind wander away.
The workout is good regardless of what aiming system you use. Most of the shots are difficult enough and if you use the workout enough you will start to see these shots during game play and you'll automatically go AH! I know this shot, it's in the workout!
