A friend of mine from work said he has a buddy from Durham, NC named Joe Wilson, I think he owned a pool room. Does anyone here know him? My buddy said he is an "established pro", but I have never heard of him. Thanks for any info.

Contact Jump Shot's Billiards in Durham. If they don't know who he is or no one else in there does he probably doesn't exist. Jump Shots has always got action, watched Sarah Rousey playing there some years ago for some $$$. Nasty old place but fun with a great group of locals...

Jump shots was closed when I stopped by a couple months ago. Said something about relocation on the door.

Try asking at The Green Room.

I lived in Durham for almost 3 years and never heard of him and there is one pool room remaining in Durham that I know of. And Joe Wilson is not an owner of it.

Thanks for the reply. I was told he owned a place called The Green Room. My work buddy (not a pool player at all) swears to me that this guy is a pro.

That's what I figured, thanks for the reply. My buddy has no idea what "pro" means.

I am pretty sure he doesn't currently own the Green Room.

Were you from that area easy?

My home was in Roanoke, VA. I lived in South Carolina from 2004-2008, and worked in North Carolina for a while last year. I have played several stops on the GSBT, and other tournaments all around the Carolinas. As small as the pool world is, I figured that I would have heard the name before if he were a top player.

You know how it is with people who don't pay pool. If my buddy saw me play, and I beat him 345 games in a row, he would tell everyone that I am the best player in the world:D.

Joe Wilson is a nice guy that owned the Green Room but he sold it at least 15 years ago. Joe was a above decent short-stop when he was playing.

Mr. Wilson

I know Mr. Wilson personally, how did this thread come about?

He is a very good shot and retired. Tells a wonderful yarn while he is shoot pool. He is a pleasure to be around.
