Joel Hercek

I second what Drivermaker said.....beautiful collection. My previous sarcasm was only a manifestation of my extreme jealousy. :cool:

The cocobolo plain cue that is on 3cushion.com has Joels last Burton Spain brown spec wrap on it. Another reason to collect/ play with Herceks is that not only is he a great cuemaker but he is one of the nicest guys you will meet (something that is hard to find in some cuemakers).

You're a much nicer person than I am sebas (which I'm sure everyone would agree with immediately without asking questions), but if anyone wants to call and try out MY Herceks...hey...DON'T BOTHER! :D As they say in old Napoli...fungoo! :p

I concur with everything you've said. If you're not on the list...get on. And Joel really is an absolute dynamite guy.

I got on his list several months ago. Can you get on the list more than once?

How does the hit compare to a Southwest hit?

Where in Chicago do you play?

I play at Red Shoes and at Illinois Billiard Club. One of the members, Tom Sipek let me hit with one of his Herceks.

Damn you dm! I just emailed Joel and I'm on the list. I figure if I can't save the money within 6 years I am doing something seriously wrong...
His website has some awesome information in it too.

If you like a hard hitting cue with great feedback you may want to consider an Arnot-Q. His philosophy is functioanality first and esthetics second. You may want to check out his web site and testamonials at www.arnotq.com. Arnie is easy to talk to and extremely knowledgeable. Good luck with your Hercek cue. Joel's cues are great cues also.

Maybe you should have started an Arnot-Q thread of your own. But to even put this in the same category with an Hercek is like comparing a Players cue to a Schon Unique. ROTFLMAO.....

I have been to Arnots website. I have researched many cue makers. Hercek is a cue I want. I like the fact that his are "full slice" cue. He is one of the few that had that knowledge past on to him by the great Burton Spain. Will it make me shoot better? No.
If i was going to settle, I would get a Scruggs. Which I still plan to do one day. I just want to find an older Scruggs. I will also own a Franklin era Southwest. This will be years down the road when I win the lottery.

If you get on the list today do you lock in the price for when your name comes up on the list? I think that SW does this. Can anyone confirm about Hercek and SW?

I don't think he locks in the price but he is very with a capital V fair to you based on market price if you are on his list.

I think that it depends on the joint. No matter what those stupid studies say. The ivory piloted hits the softest and puts the most throw, the Flat faced hits most like a Southwest. The piloted ss (my favorite) hits in between. I pmed you my phone #.
