how does joels cues do with resale value? I dont think ive ever seen one for sale.....

Why do you think that might be the case?

Occasionally they are, and when that happens both the buyer and seller are going to be very happy!

There you have it. Only a couple go on ebay or the net every year. You will pay a premium of at least $500 over cost. But they will continue to increase and they are as good playing cues as they look. By all means if you spend the money on one then play with it. Tascarellas have approximately the same premium, although they come up more often. He charges $1500 currently for a plain cue with 4 points, 4 veneers rings (definitely not metal) around the shaft and butt, and 2 shafts with ivory ferruls as opposed to Tascarella who would be approximately $2000 for the same cue. I paid $2,000 for a plain one about 8 months ago and traded it plus cash for a fancier one. Good luck on finding one for $2000 today. They are few and far between because no one wants to give them up. Joel, if I mistated anything let me know. Same to you Mr. Tascarella.

Happy to hear that...you'll be the happiest in the end. I can't speak for Sebas, only myself and............you have been deemed as an unfit parent and have no visitation rights! :p :D

If you get on the list today do you lock in the price for when your name comes up on the list? I think that SW does this. Can anyone confirm about Hercek and SW?

I just had my cue refinished at SW. I was inquiring about my cues I have on order, and based on the response the price is subject to change. Came as news to me. I know they just had an increase. I hope that is the last one for at least 8 years or so, but somehow I don't think it will be.

So...

Any updates for people who put themselves on the list in 2005?

I emailed Joel early this year in February. He let me know that I am still on the list, but he is still working on 2003 orders.

God bless him for being in high demand.

As for me? Soon after I started this thread, went to jail for a few months. Lol. When I got out, I bought my second Scruggs and stopped shooting pool for a few years. My dad has since passed away, but I still may get a Herceck in his honor. I recently started playing again, but nowhere near as much as I used to.

13+ year wait...

I heard from Joel in 2016 and he said, in all reality, it could be 20 years before he gets to the 2005 list. I'm 47 now so hopefully I'll see that bad boy one day :D
