Last Time Chen and Joey Matched Up

Joey got the eight and lost. Race to 9 or 11 for $500
This was around the same time that Shane VanBoening came through Dallas.

Some guy named Charlie Brown has moved to Dallas. He played Joey even at Clicks Marsh and beat him and his backer out of about $1500

Yeah that's him.
He doesnt play to well in the little weekly tournments but he plays pretty sporty for the cash.

Roel, you coming to the tournament tonight at Clicks Marsh?

No tourney for me, i sprained my ankle and i'm on crutches.

I bought a new 9' olhausen a couple weeks back, i'm up in mckinney now, need someone to play when my ankle heals.
 
chen gave joey the eight huh? find that hard to believe but i guess chens game has come up tremendously over the past year. good for him.
 
Joey Barnes is playing John Macias in Hattiesburg or at least was last night. ONe pocket giving small weight. Was even after a few hours of play or so I was told.

i am very curious to find out how they finished out. i know these two have plenty of gamble in them. bet they were plaing fairly big. Anybody out there know???????//

Word on the street is that LJ has been booking winners against Eddie Brown as well.

Man, I can't believe I totally missed this thread! :p

Joey plays mostly at Click's on Skillman (Dallas) as far as I can tell (for money matches anyhow). I see him quite often at Click's on Majesty (Arlington) where I play, but I haven't seen him play a money match here in a long time.

Tony, you just saw him last weekend at The Texas Open. He got 3rd.
David and Chen would be a good game. None of the others can beat Chen.

i agree with you that he more than likely will win at nine ball. little al, joey and newkirk would school him in one hole. David g on the other hand would win at all games against these guys (should win anyways)

Yeah, Chen still hits them really straight. Well what about Sylver? What are the odds of sylver beating chen. Sylver was getting the rolls and playing good all weekend. But from what I saw you're right buddy. I don't think anyone can beat chen. I saw him giving Skinny Kenny the Last 2 and the 8 wild. And beat him out of 500. As we all know down here, Kenny is no slouch and he's got alot of gamble. Well anyway, I like Sylver against chen with a game or 2 on the wire.

Touornament play is one thing and gambling is totally different. Sylver at times "may" beat anyone in a tournament. He and Joey broke about even playing one pocket, but again, it was on questionable equipment. The pockets are about as big as a baseball cap.
In the Dallas area, I don't think anyone is going to beat David G at any game.
CJ in his day was another story, but, he is not there, "yet"! Don't rule him out though.
