If he has been waiting 9 months, for something that was supposed to be delivered in 4 months how is bringing it up unwarranted? Especially without communication from the builder?
Just curious, as I've seen people like Varney and Wheat and cue sellers harassed about this very thing. I've seen you harass sellers for not delivering on time.
Now if no money has exchanged hands, then who really cares how long the wait is. No harm no foul in my opinion.
I agree and disagree with different parts of your statement. The last sentence:
"Now if no money has exchanged hands, then who really cares how long the wait is. No harm no foul in my opinion."
If a promise is made for a delivery date then that date should be respected whether money was put up or not, in my opinion. People don't live forever. If they have waited for a product or service, for any length of time with no delivery then that time has stolen from them. They may have passed up other purchases or placed an order with another cue maker and been that much closer to a finished deal.
I'm not commenting on this particular case as I know none of the details but I feel if the agreed to deal has been established and then not completed by the maker, it is as bad, if not worse, than when the purchaser reneges on a deal and refuses to pay for the finished product.
