John Hennessee a shot at the all around in Reno?

Some may be surprised at the fact that John is in the mix late in these Bar table events against some of the best players in the world. I must say it does not shock me at all after seeing him play several times in person. I know alot of guys don't like him for some of his actions but you have to admit he hits em pretty sporty. Not too many guys have that kind of fiery attitude or will to win

GL John in the 9 ball finals

I agree. John lives not too far from Chattanooga, so I have had the pleasure of watching him play many times. I believe that he beat SVB and other top names in the recent Southern Billiards Tour Championship.

I wish John well.

I don't know why John playing jam up on any size table would surprise anyone. He has certain issues but is universally respected for his speed.

I am watching TAR's PPV coverage.

It was down to him and Gabe and he finished higher than Gabe in the 8 ball.
cool. thx man

If the BCA or TAR would have had a little better advertising to who and what was left I would have purchased today myself. I thought by looking at TAR they were down to about 4 players and I didn't care to see who was left.

I should have said that Henny knocked Gabe out of the 8 ball and wen on to finish third, losing to Ellerman who will play Parica in the finals

This is what I saw when I looked to see if I was going to buy the coverage today:

Sunday coverage begins at 10 AM Pacific.

10 AM: Ike Runnells vs Cliff Joyner

11:30: Adam "The Sleeve" Behnke
vs.
Winner of Atwell vs Owen match.

Final match is scheduled to start at 5:30 pm PST.

Jose Parica is in the hot seat and will face the
winner of the one loss bracket.
CLICK HERE to purchase the Pay Per View coverage of the
final day of the 2008 United States Bar Table Championships.
Coverage begins at 10 AM PST and is of the final day of play in
the 8 Ball event. Price is $15 Coverage will run until the
conclusion of the event.

No mention of Hennessee at all and it looks as if they are already down to the last 6 in the field. If I would have known he was still in the hunt I would definitely have bought the feed to check it out. The coverage of the 8 ball bracket by the BCA is f'n pathetic. I know the TAR guts have no control over that but I would have loved to have seen a little better breakdown of the days events. They might have only gotten one more buyer for the day but they would have at least gotten me. No telling if anyone else might have passed for the same reason.

I think you are right about that KTown, because there have been no more than 25 people on the PPV all day. This is something someone should explain to TAR. they need marketing help badly an people don't want to buy something if they don't know what they are buying

Ellerman won the Eight Ball, beating Parica both sets 5-4. Parica led 4-3 in both and dogged it. Sorry, but true.

I agree with Jay's assessment, I watched both sets on the PPV.

Jay, did you ever think you would say "Parica dogged it" in your life? lol

Sounds pretty strange given his past

Shit happens! :D

In the first set he slow rolled the eight ball and it hung in the jaws of the side pocket. No balls hit a rail and Mitch grabbed the cue ball and ran out. Then he broke and ran out for the win. In the second set Jose got good shape on the last three balls and needed to make a routine cut shot down the rail in the corner. He undercut it and it jarred the pocket and bounced out. Mitch jumped up again and ran out. Then he broke and ran out for the match!

It sounded like something was wrong with Jose's tip. It made a clunking noise when he was hitting the cue ball and he miscued at least once or twice that I saw. He didn't have confidence in that tip, I could tell. He needs to replace it. But he knows that. He just couldn't do it while the match was going on. Too late!

Jay, just curious, is Jose still using an OB-1? (I recall he was using one at one time)

I don't know what he's using. But he had some problems with it, that was obvious.
