John Morra can beat any American for the Dough

Ok, I heard he was being backed that's all

Guess you will have to change your records

Justin isn't afraid to bet his own. Either is Oscar.

For the Morra event, Justin got to KC two days early and practiced 5-8 hours a day. Oscar does the same.

It's why with their heart and determination, these two are winners and lots of other pool players are losers.

I won't name the player's name but for one match against Justin, his opponent literally got there 90 minutes before they were to start. This is after traveling all day. On day two, he got there 45 minutes prior. Can you guess who won?

I'm not sure? It's obvious your "list" is completely oblivious to the many many top "1st" tier pros and "unknowns" in the Philippines and China/Taiwan also. But for someone to question who faraon and Gomez are and then say it's five guys at the top of the top is very laughable.

You got that right Molina.. There's likely dozens of guys that have never left their home soil to give these "world beaters" a run for their money.

I think the question here is, name 5 guys from the US, besides Shane and Bergnuts you'd put your hard earned paycheck, welfare check or food stamps up against Morra. Just 5 if JM is such a dog. I'll start off with the first two, Sky and Oscar.

The most active guy on this thread is always hard on Morra, I'm not even going to bother quoting his posts.. Some people know everything yet would never bet that the tinman has a sheetmetal cock.

I know the U.S. education system isn't perfect but I cannot believe it's this hard for people to understand English and semantics.

I'm guessing that was Shaw, and Justin tortured him.

Agreed that how Justin went about it was the the correct way.
I was just commenting for someone who was there, who said you and a couple others backed Justin in that match, which is true. But only your team knows how much each person bet. I'm sure John was backed too and also bet some of his also

Didnt he just beat Shane in the finals of fairly major pro 10 ball event?
Not many americans and no shortsops are capable of a win like that.

Dude we are talking about the cash not a tournament! We have all beat someone in a tournament but doesn't mean we can win gambling. Put your money where your mouth is! Meanwhile back at the ranch,,,I'll take Shane.otherwise drop it!

You do know that you and Syd are talking about different things, right?

Syd did not say JM could beat SVB for the cash. Yes, the thread started that way by some troll, but no one else has responded to the thread suggesting JM is favoured over SVB and no sane person believes that. What happened, however, is that some JM bashers suggested that JM would lose for the cheese against some shortstops. Other posters responded by pointing out JM cash game wins over two excellent Filipino pros (way better than shortstops) and Syd pointed out that JM beat SVB in the finals of the SBE 10 ball event and that no shortstop can do that.

The fact that JM beat SVB in one tournament does not mean he is better than SVB in either tournaments or gambling, just like the fact that JM may have lost one set to a shortstop once does not mean that shortstop is better than JM.

James Davis senior and junior have beat SVB tournaments. They are super strong short stops. To say no short stop can beat SVB in a tournament is grossly out of context and inaccurate. Syd is dead wrong in that assumption

Yes, That is exactly why I pointed it out. Im not giving an opinion on who I think JM can or can not beat for the cash. However winning a faiirly major pro ten ball event recently along with some of his other recent accomplishments imo is a good indicator of what the outcome would be in a meaningful set of 9 or 10 ball for the cash against all but a select few Americans.

Who did Archer lose to for maybe 5K on his homeroom table a few months ago? I think there was a stream.

If they play again on a neutral table most smart money is on Shaw....he has the highest gear in rotation pool. When they played he looked like he didn't want to be there....worst play I ever seen from him.

Shaw is an unreal talent. ...no limit on him.

Same here PT. When that match happened I was given 2:1 to take Bergman and needless to say I made a decent score
