John Morra can beat any American for the Dough

Shaw is a dasher.....Bergman is a miler.

pt....will bet on Justin.....again

Be sure to watch the set where Shaw beat Mika in a race to 9 in 27 minutes...including 9 minutes of crying. Guy is super human at times. ....and you got action.

Shaw was off that match from jump. I never seen him like that but you could see he knew he wasn't gonna get in gear. We all been there.

I wish all these guys would play more for money and our enjoyment. They could all get backed. So why don't they play??? They all want to be king of the hill, but who's going to matchup to prove it? They have such a short window to get it....just don't see the urgency from them.

Yeah, I saw that match....Shaw is a pleasure to watch when he's on song.....
...I used to enjoy Lou Butera also.

But when it comes to a long session....Billy Incardona said it best...
..."Solid beats spectacular, all day long."

That's why Buddy could give St Louie Louis the seven.

How about Shaws day 2 comeback vs SVB losing 95 to 100? That day he won 60 to 50. If he played a couple better safes it's hill hill. Don't know any other player other than SVB who shows as much.

Shaw is a stronger player than Bergman IMO

I won't even compare Shaw to Morra cause the isn't a comparison.

From what I've seen, Shaw's high gear is higher that Bergman's (and as high as anyone I've seen).

What makes this interesting is that Shaw's B game is a bigger step down. That, and the fact that Shaw does make the occasional unforced error (as he did vs SVB) that can make the difference.

I'd agree with this...

When Jayson first came over he would never play safe. He's gotten a lot better at defense. When he's on he's the favorite against anybody.

Good analysis but as the quote below from Cueenvy says, he's improving and it was his initial reluctance to play safe occasionally when his game was a bit off that led to the huge drop off between his A & B games.

I'd agree with this...

Another good analysis of his evolving game. As I said above I believe the huge drop off initially between his A & B game was his reluctance to duck occasionally on flyer shots that he makes in dead punch but not so much if he's off a little.

He is getting better defensively but I think he struggles with it not because he doesn't have a safe game but because his dead fearless approach to the game is to always go for it. I really admire that.

I Still watch the 22 minute beat down over Mika once a week or so. The joy of watching a gunslinger in dead punch along with the guilty pleasure of watching Mika pout.

Shaw really has the 10b break down now. I'd take him over anyone in North America not named SVB in a 10b race to 100 on 4.5" diamond.

actually...no...

Asian is an ethnicity. Filipino refers to the area they're from. Kind of like Caucasian. And then Canadian.

ethnicity refers to ethnic, ethnic roots are regional.

Asian would most closely refer to race, not ethnicity. Technically, there are only three races. Caucasoid, Mongoloid, and Negroid...

Asians are mongoloid, although there are distinct ethnicities within the Asian race.

Hence the terms Pacific Islanders, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, etc...It can often be linked to a nationality as well.

So if a Caucasian is from Korea, is he Korean? Just wondering.

If a Filipino is born and raised in Guam, it doesn't mean he's no longer a Filipino. He is, however, a Guamanian. Ethnicity-wise, he's a Filipino.

Edit: The ethnicity of the Guam locals are Chamorros.
