Who would have guessed he would have won the one pocket tournament?

I was expecting the nine ball championship from him but he is playing well right now. He probably won the one pocket championship because he warmed up with me playing some one pocket. I think I am going to start charging for people to warm up with me.

John is playing much better using the OB-2. I can't wait for him to get used to using it. :D

Why does he like the OB-2 more than the OB-1?

Maybe we should team up

I did the same thing for George Breedlove, right before he won his first Pro event, The Lexington Allstar Open. We could start a company, Pro Pool Warmup Inc.... Cheap warmups for the pro who wants to win.......

Now you're talking. Should we simply take a cut from their winnings or should we get paid up front?

The scufflers at the Fairgrounds Race Track have a nice gig where they have all of the horses listed for the race and they give a different "tip" to each of their prospective customers about which horse is going to win the race. After providing all of the different horses names individually to different people, they simply keep tabs on who gets what information and makes sure they are at the pay out window when the winner goes to collect. :D

Actually, there is a science to getting someone warmed up for a match. There are certain "secrets" that I apply but I don't tell them what I am doing as it wouldn't work if I did. Perhaps one day, if you too have "secrets" we can pool our "secrets" to provide a higher quality product to the pro players. ;)

I don't know much about the porno industry. Could you tell me a little bit more about fluffers? lol

Hey, you're the one that wants to warm up the pro players  But, as I understand it fluffers um, get the actors in prime performance mode.

I thought you could be the one who could clue me in on how it's done in the porn industry. Now I know what you're talking about.

Thanks for the heads-up. :D

Clearly he has been reading my excellent posts and has picked up some tips on how to play the game.

Congrats to John for the big win. If they could figure out a way to change from banks to 14.1 John would have a good chance to win the all around.

I played Schmidty one pocket about 10 years ago at corner pocket in NYC on one of the roped off tables.

He ran out from almost everywhere. Bank combos, carrom banks, combos, banks, cuts shots from everywhere.

There are no pocket games he cant win.......

excellent....

Congratulations to Mr. Schmidt.....a fitting victory for the U.S. Open Champion and a CLASS ACT...

Both

Like any pool player would do, gotta work all the angles. Charge a minimal fee, based on what first place will pay, plus a percentage of anything 4th place or higher. Probably warm up 3 or 4 guys that have a chance of placing, and turn down the ones who don't have a real shot.
As for the fluffer comment, I wouldn't know anything about porn, they don't allow me to have a tv. No matches, no sharp objects, and no straws in my drinks.
