John Schmidt Go Fund Me?

Why?

Instead, how about they just play a real 14.1 match to 500 or 1,000?

Lou Figueroa
just thinkin' out loud
Just what I was thinking. Let them play a long challenge match like they used to do in the old days and you might find some real interest in that. I might finance such a match and put it on PPV for $9.95 a day for three or four days (Race to 500 each day - to 500 on day one, 1,000 on day two, 1,500 on day three and 2,000 on day four). And I will Go Fund It myself!

I’d pay for that. Let’s set some match play records. The highest run in an actual game that im aware of is Feijens 300+

High runs in tournament conditions is way more interesting then ... Record breaking runs in controlled conditions. that is why i dont care for either john s or jayson s recording breaking runs and wouldnt spend a $1 to watch it, but a tournament .. sure i would pay to see it.

I don't understand the issue. If people get some entertainment, instruction, and can be involved in a world record attempt, what's the harm in chipping in a few bucks? No one is required to contribute but what's the harm in providing a live stream and accepting donations to help with the production?
It's fine as long as the donators are part of any DVD sales or other profiteering from the undertaking.

I changed my mind on this, go fund me idea.

I made a joke, a bit of a knock the other day about it. It was funny and wasn’t meant to hurt anyones feelings(unlikely I did) but it still was a bit of a knock of the idea of it all.

I was wrong!

I watched JS play a couple days and he put in the hours, had one super strong long day with a monster BPI session over 9-10 hours. He earned his money. I respect that. And my joke still stands but, I just wanted to be clear that I didn’t expect such a great production by the guys in Canada and they really put in a big effort as well this week.

Well done

Best,
Fatboy <——always keeps it real, when I’m wrong and/or get corrected by facts, I admit it. Only the weak hold “their ground” when proven wrong-few of those ppl around here. Not me. I got the stones to come clean. Well done JS!

Why is there a go fund me for a player to break a world record?

Cut and Paste

Help support John Schmidt "Mr. 626" on his straight pool world record attempt.
John will be displaying what it takes to play straight pool at the highest levels this week in Calgary, AB Canada. The first 2 days will be played on a Predator 9' table with 4 1/4 " pockets and will be more of a clinic to show how the game is played. Starting Wednesday, he'll move to the Gold Crown with 4 7/8" pockets and make his run from Wednesday to Saturday at reclaiming the world title. If you appreciate the FREE livestream available on Cue Sports Live (Facebook and YouTube) and what John is attempting to do, help John cover his expenses while making his run. Thanks to everyone for your donations and well wishes. Good luck to John Schmidt "Mr 626" - hittem' straight buddy!!!

Strange I thought go fund me accounts were for funeral costs, medical bills , or to actually help somebody in a financial crisis from death or rare situation for a family or child? This is ridiculous…

Yeah, he's puttin on a show alright.

Must be a bad camera angle.
