Cut and Paste

Help support John Schmidt "Mr. 626" on his straight pool world record attempt.
John will be displaying what it takes to play straight pool at the highest levels this week in Calgary, AB Canada. The first 2 days will be played on a Predator 9' table with 4 1/4 " pockets and will be more of a clinic to show how the game is played. Starting Wednesday, he'll move to the Gold Crown with 4 7/8" pockets and make his run from Wednesday to Saturday at reclaiming the world title. If you appreciate the FREE livestream available on Cue Sports Live (Facebook and YouTube) and what John is attempting to do, help John cover his expenses while making his run. Thanks to everyone for your donations and well wishes. Good luck to John Schmidt "Mr 626" - hittem' straight buddy!!!

OK, I'll set it up.
You'll need $1.50 in quarters for each game, food, drinks, streaming, hotel, and a mechanic to loosen up the table.
Don’t forget I need a cue, case, 26 tip tools, CTE handbook and 325 hours of one on one instruction.

This IS my pool journey.

Thank you for your help! And consideration.

You don't think a conversation was had before posting it?
They could have talked but I don't know what went on behind the scenes. Stuff like this can happen when the organizer wants something but doesn't have the funds to do that. I have utilized something like this before for a project actually.

I don't understand the issue. If people get some entertainment, instruction, and can be involved in a world record attempt, what's the harm in chipping in a few bucks? No one is required to contribute but what's the harm in providing a live stream and accepting donations to help with the production?

I have no issues with it. Not my biz, but was kinda funny anyways.

I can't help it if you don't understand. I posted a question.
Asking for $5000 doesn't seem a bit odd?
You could ask for donations in the stream.

GoFundMe is easy. It can be anonymous and will potentially reach a larger audience than the stream. I believe GFM requires a dollar amount for the goal.
