John schmidts OB cue???

Unless he has switched since Florida a few weeks ago he was using the 408 model to play with. This has a SS joint. His break cue is gray and has a 5/16-14 wood to wood joint with black collars.

poolplayer,

John, at one time, played with a protoype cue we built for him.

The knowledge we gained from that helped us to develop the cue he plays with now, our 408 series cue with an OB-2 shaft.

The 408 is a 12 point cue with really nice fleur de leis inlays at the tips of the points. A beautiful cue!

You can find it at many of our dealers. We are currently out of stock, but should have more finished in a few weeks.

I liked the look of that plane jane he was using with the black collars. any more of those in stock?

We never really brought that cue to market. However, we do have a few versions of plain janes that came from what we learned in that cue.

I have them both wrapped and wrapless, and with and without a steel joint.

Here is a pic of the newest one, curly maple with a coco handle. It has our new "White Light" joint.

This cue plays really great. I have switched to it now and love it. I use it with the OB-2!

white light joint cue

Royce,

I'm interested in the cue you hace shown with the new whie light joint/
Can you expound on the joint itself. What is exasctly a white light joint made with? I'm looking for a cue that has a dfferent joint than the standard 5/16/14 heavy jiont. So can you tell the type of hit you can expect from this joint It wood orobably be a daial pinned tpe made from ivory, barffsllo horn like a Dayton or a phenolic type joint. Is this cue featured on your ebsite? I'd like to get a nbetter look and infio om it. It looks great.
thanks,

The "White Light" is a synthetic thermoplastic. It is fairly light in weight, so it does provide what we were looking for in a joint material.

The joint screw is our standard 5/16x14, but without the steel joint, the hit is totally different. It is very much lighter in weight, so it gives a more solid , less "Pingy" hit that has more feel than with a steel collar.

These cues are really very nice. Great woods so they look fantastic, and they play jam up! You can get it with either the OB-2 or the OB-2 shaft. You could even get it with the break shaft if you wanted a fancy breaker.

At $440.00 complete, it's a great deal too!

We don't have them on the website yet, they are available. We have the same cue stained either brown or gray, with a wrap and the steel joint.

I had the rare opportunity to shoot with this cue last week. It has a really nice feel and the workmanship is superb!

Royce...

I really like a couple of your cue designs. Even more so, I like the PJ you posted above! That is a heck of a good price tag too
