1 piloted, 1 flat. I can interchange the two and they'll both sit flat and tight. I'm asking because back in the day I had them turned down. Now I find the shafts diameter is to small and might buy new/used ones. They're 30 year old less expensive cues, so we'll see. I'll find a bolt somewhere with the same threads, then I'll know for sure.No way to know from a pic. Are they flat face or piloted? Are the pin diameters the same? Are the joint diameters the same? The count looks the same but that can be deceptive.. you can lay one pin on top of the other and they will mesh if the same. The pin length looks close so may seat into the shaft fine. Like MM sai
They are definitely 5/16-181 piloted, 1 flat. I can interchange the two and they'll both sit flat and tight. I'm asking because back in the day I had them turned down. ThanksThey are definitely 5/16-18
Personally I don't like to use flat face on piloted joints but some say it works fine. Sounds like you have a plan.1 piloted, 1 flat. I can interchange the two and they'll both sit flat and tight. I didn't plan on doing that either. I just screwed them in to see if the threads are the same, even though the bolts look different.Personally I don't like to use flat face on piloted joints but some say it works fine. Sounds like you have a plan.
As long as they thread and don't bind then you should be good the female threads are usually a little deeper than the pin length. I'd use flat face on a piloted if that was all I had.I didn't plan on doing that either. I just screwed them in to see if the threads are the same, even though the bolts look different.
