Just heard that Josh Roberts is going to make his debut in Pat Fleming's Make It Happen.
It's good to see the Young Guns get in the pit and duke it out with our international brethren.
USA, ALL THE WAY, baby!![]()

Is Josh Roberts truly a "Young Gun"? He looks more mid 30's than mid 20's to me.
Not knocking Josh as a pick, because as a likely sponsor of the MIH he would have been one of my choices.
I think its fair to call him a young gun compared to the majority of the field that he plays against, 31, 32, 33 is still young enough.
I mean are there really any truly young guns making noise other than Sky and Thorpe?

In the US, not so many: Justins (Berman and Hall) are both 29, and not really young guns anymore.
But, in Europe there are many. The first one that comes to mind is Joshua Filler from Germany. He's under 20 and shoots like Jayson Shaw.
In the Middle East we saw some unknowns make a splash at the US Open last year...Alshammari at 26, was undefeated until he faced David Alcaide in the quarter-finals.
In China there are many under 27 or so that play lights out. Look for a young strong contingent coming from Taiwan to the US Open this October.
And, last but never least, there are probably twenty teenagers in Manila whose names we don't even know that can play with the big boys.
I hope that Trump will allow the greatest pool players from around the world to come here and show their stuff.
Agreed! Josh plays 1-pocket extremely well and may surprise some of the old guns.
He plays a deliberate game which reminds me of the way Nick Varner moved.
Also, Josh is a real gentleman and handles himself very well on and off the table.
I think Tony would be a great choice for the final spot but i am not so sure he's the best player available after seeing what Justin Hall did to Danny Smith in their last big Fight Night match.I'd like to see Tony Chohan get the last spot. Probably the best player still available. What a field that would be! I think he wants to play too.
I think Tony's definitely not playing.
He's pretty much fed up with the whole industry. Time for him to move on.
Wish him nothing, but the best of rolls.![]()
It is a far tougher row to hoe, when it is your only source of income.
