Joss Customer Service

The op has been on here over 20yrs it looks like yet he's acting surprised that a cue didn't show exactly on time. WTF, is this his first cue purchase or what?? Seriously i'm pretty impatient myself but i learned LONG ago that cuemaker's clocks run in their own timezone. Hell, if he's so butthurt call 'em and demand a refund.
Cuemaker years are closer to dog years.

Order an already built cue from Seybert's or PoolDawg and be done with it.
Get an etching tool and write your name on the butt and you'll have a one-off custom cue.
Of course you may have a 3 or 4 day waiting period.
I would use those days to go on a bender.
You can thank me later.
Interested.

more cuemakers have screwed customers that constantly call or email them. order your cue and wait. bothering them as bothering anyone will only get you bad service.

one email like after a few months just to check up on progress. but if no completion date was given then leave them alone.
This is true, order and wait. I ordered my Tascarella wrapless merry widow last October. Previous cue took 14 months, so I assume similar for the newest cue. Sent my deposit, no worries. In a few months I will get a call "your cue is done".

actually you said 3 weeks and it hasnt even been 3 weeks and you are now hounding them. let it go and just wait and you will be happy.
Hasn't even been two weeks.

He posted in the AM and said tomorrow will be entering the third week.

So, a week and six days.

Dr. Cue has his hands full.

You two are wrong. I know when I ordered the cue. And I know what I was told in various emails.

And sending them an email certainly isn't hounding them.

Some people need to get real, or get a life, or both.

I worked with Dan on custom I received about about 8 years ago.
Dan signed and dated it.
He was a pleasure to work with.

I am currently working with Stephen on a traditional box cue and Steve is great.
Nothing going on there out of the ordinary that I can see.
We had some problem with emails not going through but when I call he always picks up immediately.
I told him what I wanted and he sent me a diagram for my approval.
I approved and he sent me a color rendition of my upcoming cue which we are currently tweaking.
Stephen has not asked me for a single penny yet while he works on the design.
When we are both happy I will send him whatever amount of deposit that he requests.

To my mind Stephen can be completely trusted.
He is trying to do business the way his father did business and I have never heard anybody say a bad word about his father Dan.

I did the same with Dan several years ago. Was also a pleasure to deal with.

And since you mentioned about having a problem with emails not going through it makes me wonder - perhaps mine didn't go through either???

Not sure what I should do now? I don't really want to call and bother them.

I'll vouch for the beauty/craftsmanship of your Joss. Great choice in your cuemaker.

I wrote Joss for information on an old cue (no prospect of profit to Joss) and Dan Janes response was immediate https://forums.azbilliards.com/threads/joss-six-pointed-star.535927/. I was, and remain, greatly impressed.

DrCue'sProtege, you need to get a grip. If you already have one, tighten it up.
On AZB, and probably the entire pool world, Joss's reputation is second to none.

In order to " keep the insults and stupid comments out of this thread", quit creating stupid threads. Even if you were 100% correct, which you are not, no one is going to agree or sympathize with you on such an outrageous complaint.

Not wrong. Quoting your words.
"Tomorrow we are into the 3rd week."

Bitch less, remember more.

You said one week, six days.
I said three weeks.

I know which one of us is right.

What outrageous complaint?????

When did I ever complain?????

All I ever did was ask.

No wonder so many people have left this Forum over the years.

It's your money sir you're entitled to say what you want,if you don't like your answers get your money back.

He actually ordered 2 cues at the same time and then said he was going down to his friend Nick's place to get another one.

That ship has sailed.
Per usual it is always everyone else who is in the wrong, and you don't see how delusional you are.

Full disclosure, he may have been referring to my phone call.

I can take a hint. LOL!

Dan was incredible to work with.
He listend.
When I picked up my cue it was almost like he read my mind.
Dan passed. Time to retire it.

I'm working with Stephen simply because I had a great experience previously and I am in love with the hit of a Joss.

Stephen pics up in a couple of rings.
Talk to him.
Trust me. It's no bother.

It really is legacy business. I have not talked with Stephen. Maybe I should, and take up the cue Dan was designing for me that I failed to pull the trigger on. Life took me away from this for years, I come back to it and Dan is gone.

My advice to all: Don't wait. If there is a cue you want made, pull the trigger. Just do it. Regret sucks. You only live once. And don't give a damn about what anyone else likes or wants.

I understand.
Call him.
He is about customer service.
He's putting up with my bullshit pretty well.
Just kidding.

“The emails back from the company said about two weeks. Stephen said about three weeks.”

This is a pretty standard challenge with comprehension.
You are the person that goes to a restaurant and the hostess tells you the wait is 30-45 min.
That means their expectation is the maximum, be pleasantly surprised if it’s sooner, but you only hear the minimum and, are standing there asking why you haven’t been seated yet at minute 31.

Shipping is going to take another week after it leaves so either way you’ve still got awhile to go.
