WTB--A New Stroke !
Interested in hearing your feedback on jumpers. What is your favorite? Which ones did you try and dislike? Etc....

Eagle man I was where you are now last week looking for a Jump cue. I got tired of my old one and breaking my break cue down.

i tried everyones jumper at weekly tournaments or league and a lomax was great! But, I was surprised by a tiawan jumper with kf marked on the shaft. The guy got it from gai yun kim! It was the best by FAR!!!!

I went home and searched all over and found that ERIK YOW the trick shot champ uses their jump cue also! He has his own signature line.

just got it the other day and love it. Slightly different then the one i tried that was solid rosewood butt. this one has ebony points into maple! The wood is much lighter and easier to jump but with a slight loss of control!

Erik Yow is a member of AZBilliards and if you search you can find him and his review and comments about the jumper! He was also taking pre-orders for them.

if i was you i would try the jumpers at league or tournaments! Then go with what feels right to you!

hope this helped!

Tried a number of different ones: Jumpers and Jump break.

In the end, for me, it turned out to be the tip. Put a Phenolic on it and it Jumps off the table!

Just got my cuetec jump cue. I saw Earl go get Shane's at the 10 ball bar championship. It worked for Earl an it works for me. Skip

Like all other cues , personal preference and testing is the real key.You have to figure the details that work for you.

The only thing I can add is that IMO , on a jump cue , balance seems to have large infuence. They all have very hard tips (that can be changed tho) , relatively light weight and stiffer shafts. But I've notice that some have more weight up front and some more towards the handle.

For me , a little forward balance works better. I don't like really light front ends like on a Pred air. It always felt like it took more effort for the same results.Of course tons of people love them tho. Currently I'm using a Lucasi , like a L2000 or something , solid wood shaft. It's about perfect for me but it's the formula that I know works for me regardless of the name on the handle.

Just my thoughts.

I've used a lot of jump cues but the air predator is just silly accurate. I'm an average jumper and with that thing I look like a god.

I'm using the predator air now and the extension handle helps a lot. I'm ordering a lomax jump after hearing so many people loving theirs. The lucasi jump worked well for me too. Never got the hang of the jacoby jump cue.

If you can get a chance to try the Mezz Air Drive, definitely do. I have never had much success with jumping and usually it is my very last option but since I got my new jumper, that has changed. I am more accurate and it is easier to use in my opinion.

If you could make it to Valley Forge or Vegas it would be a great place to try out every jump cue possible.

Good luck with your search!

i have tried: predator air, mike gulyassy sledgehammer jump break, bunjee, lucasi, and i own a players jump break and just bought a lomax jump cue. they all do the job. with any sort of phenolic tip you can jump. i have a personal preferance for the lomax. i tried one a while back and loved it. they are very light and steve makes a quality product. i reccomend his every chance i get and i'm doing it now. that being said you have to try as many as you can and see what your preferance is.
