sorry for the bad pics but all i had was my phone.

I thought Dee Atkins sold the Truck Driver's cue on E-bay years ago. Tell me more about it. If this is McCoy's cue, it took down a lot of big road players.

that was another one of the truck drivers cues, this one here has 3 original shafts and 2 predators (his playing shafts) its rare to see it out and being used anymore. :(

I was at players sat and he brought it in from the car to see if his shaft would fit on another local players cue, from a discussion about joint pins and snooker shafts.

That's such a nice cue...

...that I wouldn't be keeping it my car.

Thanks for sharing, that really is a unique JW, especially considering its age... would one of you shed some light on these truck driver cues for me please? I don't remember reading about them before.

Truck Driver is Kenny McCoy's nickname hes listed as the best working pool player (he drove a truck) to have played the game he was in time magazine (i think, but dont quote me) he played and beat all the big timers back in the day, never hits a ball anymore. tho.

i grew up on stories about him and how he learned to play pool on a old table that was outside and didnt have felt with a warped stick that didnt have a tip and some cracked balls.

Thank you very much for the insight, I really appreciate it, especially because it turned out so interesting! THANKS!

These old JW's were firsts in many aspects, this one could be one that was built using CNC - although it has a sideways W [and I could be wrong...] Bill used a CNC while still marking the W sideways - correct?

If so, this could be one of the first ones of those, and as a result of the new possibilities, the crowned butt cap was used - I like how these crowned butt caps are in their renaissance presently as they are so very often seen on Black Boars and other high-end cues.

This is a very nice cue and it definitely is a stone in the long road that led JW and Bill Stroud to where he is now with his designs.

sweet mother of all that is holy......really nice i love it....

Sorry. No CNC on this cue.

Played even 9 ball with Kenny in Columbus several times. Won most of the time but not always. He was a great player and a very tough competitor. Always a gentlemen to play with.
