I'm going to start a business?Personal Rack Boy, We will come to your house and rack any game for $23.00 an hour, and millionaires only need call.

I am so tired of racking for myself 100 or more times most days on my home table. I Guess I should go out in the big world of hustlers and sharks to see how good I really am. The problem with that is I haven't played any defense in the four months or so I've been able to play again. The other reason is that when you play by yourself no one fires back at you. I think my problem is I really don't want to know how bad I am. It's time to leave the den I guess. I think I'll try that KF Cue Tour. Seems like a lot of good players play in them. If I can get into the top 20 out of the 60 or so that enter I'll be happy. If I make it to the top 10 I'll get T-shirts made, "Have Stroke Will Travel" LOL. Johnnyt

jason kirkwood is my rack boy.

I actually know someone who did just this, the inimitable Fast Mikie. He hired a "practice assistant" to help him rack, setup shots etc., as well as log the practice session results. (Yes, he takes his practice very seriously!)

Some information about what he did is on Fast Mikie's blog here.

What I've personally always dreamed of for this probkem is some kind of automated robot racking system like a pin-setting machine.

Some engineering grad students made one of those, but I can't remember which school they were from. It was pretty slow but it was cool. It used a web-cam to identify the ball colors so it could sort them and put them in the right place in the rack.

I had sent the page to a bunch of my pool playing friends, but I can't find it anymore. :( Somebody in AZ land must have a link?
