Unless things have changed recently, I think Ray still runs his own room. I don't know the name of it or where it is, though.

It's a great book. I bought it when it first came out. If one learns how to make those 99 shots, he/she will very rarely get in trouble. I might get another copy, as I gave away or sold 90% of my pool stuff when I thought I'd never play again. But it was fun buying new stuff.

Last weekend he played in a tournament at Hammer heads in New port richey, fl. I've seen him a Strokers in Palm harbor. I think he lives in Largo and probably is seen more in rooms over there like CM's or anything that way.

OK Stevea...thank you. I knew he lived in Largo but someone said he moved to Detroit. I didn't think he did. Johnnyt

I agree that this book should be required reading for serious players. That being said, I think the concepts can be learned quicker and easier by watching good players and practicing. Pool is a dynamic game, and having things demonstrated is terrific. If you are proficient enough at the game to understand why a player used a certain shot and why the balls reacted as they did, it seems you can gain a wealth of knowledge much quicker by watching matches.
