Playing 10-ball last night!!:D

It just seemed like everything was clicking perfectly. I was stuffing the cueball on the break, and the balls were opening up great.
The poor guy I was playing got upset and quit after the fifth rack. Too bad to. A couple of nights ago he was saying he wanted to play some better players to help him bring out his game since he had been slumping.
I just had to share. This is a new feat for me. My best playing 9-ball is a 7 pack, and 8 ball is a four pack.
Feels great when you improve upon a personal best!:D

That's a STRONG run. Just making a ball on the 10B break five times in a row is a tall task. You have my respect.

Nice!

Use that memory when playing poorly sometime. It helps me, anyway.

That is quite a feat, congratulations.

How do you like breaking a 10 ball rack? I actually like it as long as the balls are frozen, and it seems like it's easier to get a good rack compared to 9 ball. Do you use a side rail break? Do you try to position the 1 ball?

Chris

No, I don't use the side-rail break. I normally break from the lower right hand corner of the table, about half way from the right side rail to the middle of the table, and about one diamond up. I guess it would be pretty close to breaking from the lower right hand corner of the box.
I was getting two or more balls on every break. I dropped five on one break.
However, I have a pretty strong break shot. Just ask Poolsponge. He'll tell you how I break!! It's gotta be the Gulyassy J/B I got, and installed a white diamond tip on!!:D

I'm heading to the room today to see if I can capture some of that magic on video!!

It would be nice to see a video - hope we do. By the way, that's where Shane and Corey were both breaking from in their match. Seems like 10 ball favors a big break even more than 9 ball.

There goes the theory of playing better players to improve your game.

Wow. I feel the love there Snorks. I thought you were kidding in your email about cutting me up. Guess I should have known better.

Alright CheezDawg, now I guess I need to head up and see you next week. I look forward to seeing a 6 pack!

The theory is solid, CheezDawg just teaches like a university professor...you stay in your chair quietly and take notes. :D

I really did enjoy meeting so many players from Canada, they were all great people to joke around with. The only thing I knew about Canadians before Las Vegas was Gulyassy jump/break cues, and the rock band Loverboy. All of them were fun to be around and vvery good pool players. My game stepped up a few notches, and I went all day after a while getting used to the tables (a Thursday) missing only two shots.

On the whole, we are fun.:)

Hey Nice job on the 5 pack of 10ball!!!

yea its always funny how guys say they want to play better players, but then go running away when the guy catches a gear, or 3!!!!!!

I had a similar situation a few months ago when I was still playing 24-7. I had did some cheap sets with a guy, on a 9ft Diamond procut. Well we were kinda going back n forth, and i ended up comming out the winner.

Well the guy was like HEY, you better hold onto that money, cuz we are going to play again! Well after a few weeks passed and the guy didnt say anything about playing, i just forgot about it.

Now the guy I played is a BB/A- player, here i am a simple C to C+ player. But I play better on a 9ft.

Anyways, I was just having one of those days where everything when my way.

The next time we ended up playing which was about 3 or 4 months later, same table, and stuff. I got SMOKED!! I mean said, guy was running out from everywhere! He just didnt miss at all. I think I won maybe 5 games in sets going to 5.

After 4 sets, I said I was done and paid up. I was like WTF did you eat today lol. I mean both of us kinda laughed about how he just didnt miss at all today.

But it was actually nice playing someone who was that on. Because I knew if i didnt run out, or play a lockup safe, I was going to lose the game.
