Do any of you awesome people have any info or reviews on these cue sticks? :)

I'd been checking out these cues on the J&J website and thought SW style cues seemed pretty good, but I'm not sure if their quality matches or outweighs their price tag

And so, I thought I'd ask you good people for any info on whether cue sticks are worth the bankroll or no? :)

Thank you in advance everyone and any replies/info on these cues is greatly appreciated

I went to the J&J America site and picked up a Kaiser wrapless with the stainless joint, 2 shafts and shipping for $85! Killer deal and the cue plays great. A couple of the inlays are'nt perfect, but all things considered.....SUPER deal. Right now I'm using an OB-2 shaft on the kaiser and it plays just like my Schon did with the OB-2.

good luck,

G.

I've got to play with the SW style Kaiser as well with a metal jointed cue and I think they play very nice, very good for the money and they even look better in reality then in pictures (you can probably say this on any cue...)

Thank you for the replies so far guys, I really appreciate it :)

So far, I'm liking the thought of getting the SW copy without the SS joint, which has something a $140 price tag w/ 2x shafts, which is a pretty good for the bankroll, but as any pool player would agree, it's always best to know some details about the maker or brand of a cue stick before dishing up the bacon for a cue stick, so that you know it's worth the green or not :)

Thank you once again guys and If anyone else on here has shot with any of these cues or has got one, I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts on these cues :)

willie, I'll tell you this much I'd spend 500 on a Kaiser with good shaft that normally costs 150-200, before I would buy a meucci for 300 buks.

They for sure are not a high end cue, but for as cheap as they are especially if you put a good aftermarket shaft on them, your going to be hard pressed to find a better hitting cue for that price. Its one of the best starter cues, or back up player when comparing $$$ to performance.

My buddy was looking for a cue so we went to a local billiards store and test hit a half dozen cues or so. We both thought the Kaiser played the best by far. He really likes his.

The Kaiser I had felt good except for the shaft, which felt rough and just low quality. So if you put a different shaft on it you like it. But why not buy a cue you don't need to change the shaft on? Also on close (well not really that close) inspection the SW style isn't done very well. The points were all VERY different in length (by several inches in some cases). But for 100.00 with two shafts including shipping (which is what I paid) you can't really complain.

Thank you very much for the replies so far guys, I really appreciate it

1 of the things I have been unsure about is whether both shafts are playing shafts or if 1 of the shafts has got a breaking tip/ferrule on it, like the one that's on evilbay atm?

Great Value

I bought the JJ Kaiser J/B Cue for under a hundred dollars. I feel bad about buying "cheap" Asian cues that undercut quality american craftsmen, but this deal is too good to pass. The cues is three piece, SP style, plastic joint collars. The joint pin is wood and screws from the shaft into the butt. The cue is straight and the shaft is smooth. I changed out the tip for a Picone White Diamond and am happy camper.

You san get a Lucasi for under a $150 and for that price the quality and hit are very good. I play with a Lucasi cocobolo and i have no real issues with the cue.

I have bought and sold many Kaiser cues and they are right up there if not better then many of the popular production cues, shafts can sometimes be great and other times not so much.

It would be best on a cue like that if you could hit with it first. It is entirely possible to get a solid playing cue from a company like that but quality control is more of an issue than with some other places.

Well stated. I could not believe how some of the big name production cues varyed from one to the other in quaulity when i bought mine at a billiards store. And i'm talking about the well known ones.
Viking
Joss
McDermott
Lucasi
And yes i bought a Lucasi but i had to take the shaft off another differant model Lucasi and put it on mine. And before anybody chimes in about production cues i had very limited funds to spend so i made the most of it.

There is nothing wrong with production cues at all, you can find some that hit just as good as any custom IMO. A custom cue is more of a cue that is made to your exact specs, your choice of woods, inlays and whatnot, that is what you pay for IMO and with it being hand made. I have hit with some Falcons, Joss and McDermotts I really liked.
