Thanks OP, I think the haters haven't vented in a long time, so this thread is an absolute necessity.
Me, personally, having never tried Kamui chalk, I can say thats its exactly the same as Masters. And you get a giant box of Masters for the price of a small cube of Kamui chalk
I think it would really help if the buyers of Kamui chalk would do a little jail time. That'll teach them a valuable lesson in buying things I personally don't like.

What can the best chalk do for you?
Other than perhaps stopping a miscue what else can chalk do for you? Certainly it can correct a flawed stroke or make a mishit shot go in........or can it?

I used some kamui chalk at the SBE, the only thing different is the swirls in the chalk ,results are the same ,save your money its not worth the price, and doesnt live up to the hype.

I have not tried it and am unlikely to do so at that price. It may stay on my tip a lot longer but that's really not important to me as I am fine chalking up after every shot.
With that being said, Kamui can charge whatever they want, what do I care if others choose to spend $25 for a cube of chalk, that's their business and not mine. Maybe the chalk is really very superior, maybe not.
Having not tried it, I am not prepared to judge Kamui or those that wish to spend their hard earned cash on it! If the chalk is nearly as impressive as Kamui tips, it's probably an outstanding product.

^^^Don't mind this troll.^^^ He's been trying to push inferior asian products for a while now. Stop with the deflection crap too. All my CUSTOM cues have maple shafts and I have very little problem with deflection/squirt. Most good pool players do not struggle with the amount of deflection in their playing shafts because good players can adjust to most every shaft. I'm guessing you're a low level player Thai and just here to peddle imported (and probably cloned), junk.
Me, I don't judge the price on how well a product works, I judge the price on what it costs to manufacture said product versus what the company is charging you for it. I cannot believe that a single piece of Kamui chalk has costly enough ingredients in it to warrant $25 per cube.

If someone wants to pay the big bucks for it, I say let 'em eat cake! Me, I don't have a problem with miscuing and the chalk is never the reason why I win or lose a game/set.

Is it better than any other chalk out there - YES, Absolutely!!
Is it worth $25 per cube to me - Nope.
I'll stick with BD and Pre Flag.

As you've started it, and as this is a thread about Kamui, I'll push an Asian product here and now - just put a Kamui black on my Pred, and all I can say is, it's superb! You know my patriotism thread you're referring to, the one you so spectacularly failed to understand? Well, all I can say is - and I'll make this VERY clear for you - I don't care where a product is made, all I want is the best product.
And a Kamui black tip is the bestest tip in the world, ever! 100% true!!

A good point well made, which is why I'll reserve judgement until I try it.
They certainly couldn't of sold out of those $25 cubes on hype alone. In my opinion if you can hold onto the chalk for the life of it the price is a real non-issue.
I haven't used the chalk so I can't exactly agree with any of the pumpers or detractors, but I can see that they sold out and may very well sell out again. Hype can't carry pool products that far....it's too small of a community and word gets around quick. The fact that word does get around quick may also be the reason this stuff is selling like hotcakes.

I tried to win one out in Vegas. Tried 15 shots to get that rock in the McDermott symbol. Closest I got was ironicly enough.....the width of the chalk.
I saw one guy that the vendor told to chalk up and hit power english and power draw shots. He finally miscued on shot 12, and if he had rotated the cue just a bit after each shot, who knows how many he could have hit without chalking.
I know that it felt weird to chalk the tip the normal way I do (Put it in the center of the chalk and rotate cue as I wiggle chalk over tip). It felt like you had a cube of womens foundation makeup wrapped in a peice of paper. Totally soft.
Is it good? yes it is

Is it over priced? Absolutely!!!

99% of Users say Kamui chalk is better. Non users and most users agree it is stupid expensive and that the Kamui chalk company is charging what can only be described as an ultra premium. Its a little cheaper than its weight in silver. Though to be fair i haven't weighed it I am assuming that it is a little heavier than standard chalk. This assumption lowers its price per ounce so it could cost more than silver if it were the same weight as say master chalk. Anyway I have a new question...
Is this kamui product chalk or should we consider it something else? Like a synthetic paste and is it a unfair advantage. Pine tar in baseball comes to mind. Opinions?
