Kamui players, clear or standard?

I currently have a medium clear on my cue the past 9 months or so thinking of switching to an original SS tip last I saw SS was not available in clear anyhow. I love the kamui tips

No, they were originals. I don't like layered tips and I think that Kamui blacks are the worst out there. You pay 25.00 euros for glazing and miscueing.

And pls don't tell me that I should pay another 25.00 to buy the paste (chalk), or another 40.00 for their "special" tip tool......

Never had any problems with triangle tips...

Tip preference is a personal thing. If Triangle is working for you, then that's great. I do not personally like black Kamuis. I think they are by far the worst feeling tip out there, just mushy and bad. They perform like quality tips, though. I don't have a lot of experience with the brown ones, so maybe they'd be more to my taste. One of my friends bought the black SS and he kept miscueing all the time with it, especially on his draw shots. I've heard others say the same thing. When I tried his cue I could not make the miscues happen, so I've no idea what that's all about. In general though, a lot of people leave their soft tips very tall. I'm not sure, but maybe that can cause trouble if your strokes are not good? They do glaze, like all layered tips, it just seems worse because you pay an arm and a leg for them.:D
