Will there be any vbetting on this match up?
It's Tuesday, June 24th at 8 eastern time.

John should win his match hands down, so I don't think
alot of betting against him, but you never know.

I think this match is going to be a good battle. There is no question that John Schmidt is on top of his game right now, and Mike Sigel ain't going to go down without a fight.

I am hoping it will be a good challenge match. As far as the betting goes, I'm not sure how the odds should go. John is the favorite. Is Sigel a long shot? I don't know. He may just surprise us all, as 14.1 is considered to be one of his best games, or so I hear! :grin-square:

I agree with you Jennie - both matches are going to be fun to watch - Alex is always entertaining - GWAPO is excited about being in the box - that should be a BATTLE!

As for Sigel - Schmidt - IMO that is a toss up. Here in Orlando, I get to see Mike shoot from time to time, and I can't see any rust or any weakness in his game AT ALL.

John is always a threat to run big numbers any time the balls get open.

Also, it's going to be great to have Grady calling the action in the booth. Grady is simply the best, no matter who is there with him.

Tony is going to commentate with Grady. There was a last minute cancellation and they called up Tony and he's flying out tonight!

Great news!

Tony is the best (just don't tell him that I ever said that)...

Your secret is safe with me .... but I don't know about all these other AZB folk!! :sorry:

Schmidt is one of my favorite all around players (esp. 14.1). He's def been the most explosive lately. Even so, I think a race to 125 or whatever it is.... is probably a toss up. It's not like Mike Sigel can't move in that game. Mike's one of the best EVER in that game.

It's as simple as this. No doubt John is the favorite, however I've heard that Mike has had some very respectable runs in preparation for this match. It's only 100 or 125 pts, and either player could run out from the break. No matter who wins it doesn't prove a thing. Now, if they made it 1000 pts....Tom

Very valid point, Tom. I hope we get to see a duel and not a one-way barbecue. However, if both players are fully capable of running to 100 and 125, then it could be over in a flash.

Is that what this IPT event is? One race to 125?

Yes JAM, it's just the undercard, and it starts at 8:00 PM, and the Alex vs Karl match has to happen after that. You and I have to go to work in the morning right  ? See you there. Too bad they don't have the chat there. Weren't you surprised that Scott didn't win the Arizona thing ? I guess his not being a Straight Pool player finally caught up to him, but I really was shocked...Tom

lol i wouldn't dismiss mike that easily. he's arguably the greatest ever player, and as blackjack has said he can still play. coupled with the fact it's a short race, there is no favourite, except for the one thing. pressure. mike will be under quite bit of it to prove himself whereas john will no doubt be quite relaxed and not have a lot to lose really.

I can't wait!

I would have liked to have seen Scott win it for sure, but that's probably because I know Scott a little bit and like pulling for my friends.

Of course, I was hoping to see Jimmy Mendoza do well. It was fun seeing him play live. I know he posted earlier that it wasn't his best game, but he will be back, I'm sure. Give 'em hell, JimmyM! Give 'em hell!

Then there was Babe. Nothing would have pleased me more than to see Babe pull a victory. However, I'm sure he had fun playing. I like to see a man of his caliber still giving it his all. He was so cute with that little apron on, the first day.

Well, tomorrow's the day. I had forgotten all about Alex and Karl. I am kind of more interested in Schmidt versus Sigel right now! :o

That said, Alex will definitely be a fun match, no matter who he's playing. :rotflmao:

I hate to burst any betting bubbles going on AZB, but I was just informed that Alex is having some sort of trouble with his passport and can't make it to the match. As such, Tony Robles is taking his place against Boyes, in addition to doing the commentary with Grady for the Schmidt/Siegel match!

Wow... that means that Tony needs to really be thankful for the power of Azbilliards - lol
