All I can say is: thanks to the pool Gods.
I played this guy last night a cheap game. I ran down to my last ball before the 8 ball and it was lined up perfectly for a 4 rail bank. I'd use the cuetable thing, but I hope the bank I'm talking about is familiar to you all. Anyway, that's not the point. The guy is watching and I point my stick towards the pocket and say "right there". I line up obviously driving the ball into the rail and not trying to cut it in. I never even looked back to see it hit the 3rd and 4th rails. I kept my eye on the intended pocket the entire time. Bam...I sunk it. I was happy because I left myself perfect on the 8 ball and of course made the 4 rail bank. Well, I see him get up with his cue and walk up the table. I told him I made my shot and he replied with "youuuu didn't call thaaaaat" with this disgusted look on his face. I told him I did call that and he got all pissed off and walked away waving his hand in my face as if to say "whatever". So I yell back at him to go ahead and take the shot. He said no still all pissed off but I insisted. After he won, I informed him that I was an honest guy and asked him where exactly he thought I was going. Anyway, next game he missed an easy shot and left me perfect on the 8 ball. I said "karma's a b%$#, ha?". hahaha! Would you all have let him shoot like I did or keep on shooting as it's not my fault he wasn't paying attention to my shot or just didn't believe it could go in. I guess I should have explicitely stated that it would be a 4 rail bank but we just call a ball and a pocket so I saw no point.
test...well, this is roughly the shot I'm talking about. I can see it on the table but can't draw out exactly how it goes.
