I have not, but wanted to welcome you to AZB as I see this is your first post. Why not try one and let us know what you think?
:p

I have bought two of them they are very soft it lasted less then a week constant shaping and cutting off the sides. It had a good hit and spun the ball nice but not worth the money. I tryed to press the 2nd one and it wasn't a whole lot better.jmo

No CC, the Karomi has been around for a while now. It wasn't a spelling mistake
I see them mainly on EBay.

I bought a few off of Ebay and put them on a local players cue. He wanted to hit balls in the shop to try them out as soon as I finished. After about 5 minutes, I had to trim off the mushroom and reshape the tips. Two days later, I was replacing the tips. I won't be buying more of them.

A year old but...

I just purchased one of these tips and have been playing with it for about a week. I have not noticed any shaping problems yet, but it seems a bit tough to scruff for a medium tip. The hit is pretty solid. I do not play with a lot of power, but the action I do try to play with seems to come through. I let a few other players that hit harder than I do give it a whirl and they seemed to enjoy the action they got. No complaints yet

The Karomi tip mushroomed in a few hours.... cut it off and put on an ultraskin soft....... no more problems............

I think they're really inconsistant judging from the posts here. I have a couple on wall cues and one on a player and they have worked out pretty well. I put a Karomi brown on a friends cue a couple of months ago and he's had no problems but I have heard other bad things about them

I bought 4 twelve layer pigskin Karomi brown soft tips on E-Bay. The price seems to vary every 3 or 4 days. I bought them for $1.75 each. I put one on a Cuetec about a month ago and another on a house cue in the same time frame. Both cues have been playing well with no mushrooming or glazing. I play in tournaments with a Moori soft on my Schon player. The brown Karomi hits just about the same as the Moori. I have no idea about the Karomi Black Pearl tips but the browns are excellent.

Have installed about a dozen of the Black Pearls including on my own league cue(4 months ago). Installs pretty nice and only seems to mushroom right after its first put on. Go out and smack 10 games with it and reshape. Should not have anymore problems with mushrooming. I put two of them on friends cues free of charge to get some feedback on how they shoot. One is a 6 (Triangle tip) that shoots aggressive, hard and powers the cb around the table. The other is a 7 (Morri soft tip) that shoots light as a feather, all natural leaves, only occasional extreme english. They both love them. The six has asked my to put them on all his cues, he is kind of a cue whore like me. The 7 wants one again next time. I personally love mine and I'm gonna do some more experiments to compare it to the Wizard soft which I also love. I just put three more on last night.

Now on to the Karomi brown. I bought 5 to try out at the same time as the black pearls. They shoot well similar to a Wizard soft or Morri, HOWEVER they have to be the worst tip to install I have ever used. Two of the five partially de-laminated during installation and had to be cut off. Once they were on though they seem to shoot well and mushroom less than the black pearl.
