KC Custom cues on eBay

How you would you say his cues compare to a McDermott or Joss in the 150-250 price range?
 
I purchased 2 of his low price cues a few years ago for house cues, they are exactly that. but dollar for dollar I could not have done better. His prices seemed to have increased over the years, but what hasn't.
 
Honestly, stay away from these cues. They play ok. But they are garbage. I used about three different of his cues in the past. And one I had for about 2 years eventually warped. The shafts are really cheap too. Go with the joss or mc or for the prices he gets, you could find a really nice predator sneaky pete. Take my word on this. I am using one of his seaky petes for my breaker right now. Go with something else. You'll be glad you did.
 
Isn't KC the one that customizes Predator shafts for Seybert's? I would think his workmanship must be pretty good to maintain that position.
 
that's KJ, not KC. I think KC is not a person, those cues look like chinese production ones
 
I wouldn't exactly call them garbage, but I'd go with a Joss. Supergreenman said it best.

KC cues are made for the guy Jim Shao. They are cheap imports. A cue that costs 200 bucks and has a crappy shaft and is pretty much guaranteed to warp is not garbage? Ok, find a better name I guess.

I have apoligize right now for making a comment about Dan Jane's cues being made in China. I just got off the phone with him, and I was completely mistaken in my comment. It was told to me several years ago, and obviously is wrong. I apoligize to Dan, and anyone else who took this to be true.

Joss Cues are made in Townson, MD. Dan works 10 hour days and honestly doesn't appriciate these lies being spread. The guy has done more for this game than most other cue makers. You want something from China, go with McDermott buddy. That is who they had make their MvBluds in their venture with Leonard Bludworth. That's where they are getting their sledgehammers also. I won't tell ya what they pay for them, it will make you puke. So you go McDermott son.

Dan bought his partners interest in Joss Cues in 1972 and continued to make cues in Baltimore. He eventually moved to a larger location and his son Stephen joined him in cue making. Dan and Stephen still work side by side in the shop while Debbie and Amanda Janes oversee the office and sales. Joss Cues is a real family effort which results in a company that cares about its product and clients.
 
I'd highly recommend going with either a Joss or McDermott. I bought a 3-pk of these KC cues about 2 years ago on ebay for $33. I think I got screwed!

I bought one of those KCs a while back just to see, and I never even played it. I just put it back in the box and sent it right back. Seller is 100% reliable, but even for my not so finicky tastes the cue wasn't acceptable.

If you want a "cheap" player and don't care about where it's made, those axioms are ok (I had an ax-36 model and actually liked it a lot) and the Kaiser is a bit better than KC, but they're all "cheap" production cues.

I never knew Joss was considered that way. I've seen and played some pretty good Joss cues.
