Keith McCready will join Allison Fisher and Mark Wilson on Monday on their podcast "Legends of the Cue" to tell his life story. What question would you like to ask Keith about his career, his role in "The Color of Money", etc. We'll give you a shout-out if we use your question. Thanks!

I really enjoy watching Keith's matches. They are a breath of fresh air to see someone with more natural/personal/unique mechanics in this era of robotic clones. He is proof you can play to an extremely high level and not follow the "proper" playing form. I don't mean this as any kind of disparagement either, I genuinely love watching unorthodox players that can play to a high level. I wouldn't mind hearing about his unorthodox style and how he came up with it.

I'd definitely like to hear his story, stories of things he saw and other players of that era. I don't know of anything specific I'd ask but I'm looking forward to the podcast.

Great person to interview- legendary player with personality!

Here are a few questions I’d like him to answer:

1. At what age did you first start playing pool? Did you have a high level of natural ability from the beginning?

2. The sidearm cueing technique is quite unique. How and why did you develop that technique/stance?

3. Who is the toughest player you ever competed against? How did you fare against this player overall?

4. Do you still play pool? How often do you play? Do you still enter tournaments?

5. Would you be interested in playing a challenge match vs Earl Strickland?

Thanks for extending this opportunity to us! Looking forward to the interview!

We had a great session with Keith this AM, nearly 3 hours in length unedited. We were able to ask him a question from most of you. Stay tuned as this will not be released until late October at the earliest. We still have Varner, Schmidt, Massey, LoreeJon and others already in the queue. Thanks for listening!

Which pool cue was his favorite to use and what diameter are the shafts at the tip , pressed Irish linen ? And weight of cue with how many extra shafts if any .
Thank you for your reply in advance !

The podcast concluded yesterday, but I can answer that. He likes a cue with a skinny butt with forward balance, a long professional taper on the 4.0-plus ounce shaft, hard tip, Irish linen wrap, and 20-plus ounce in weight. He usually has two extra shafts.

As far as favorite pool cue, I think one of his favorites, if not THE favorite, was a Balabushka cue he bought from Buddy Hall for $500.

Did he manage to keep that Bushka all these years? Still use it at all?
