I say let sleeping dogs lie. Everyone's got there opinion and unfortunately we arent going to please everyone. Shorty is just as entitled to his own opinion as Hal is to selling his cue for a price he feels appropriate. Now before you guys jump on me about defending shorty, Im not saying he was right nor am I choosing his side. I just dont think its right for everyone to gang up on someone just because they dont agree with the other's opinion. I think his only problem is the manner in which he voices his opinions. I think if voiced in a different way it wouldnt be so bad. Now I dont know him personally and I know a few of you do, but personally I would bring personal issue to a public group. Its really no one elses business what personal problems you would have with someone. With that said, I think the Murrell is a nice cue, as far as the price goes, IMHO it seems a bit steep but thats only Ive never played with one of his cues. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder so if someone buys it for Hal's asking price then more power to Hal and congrats to the new owner.

I hear you buddy but what right does he have to come on to Hal's thread and try to ruin a sale for him? If a knowledgeable collector came on and said the price was high I would certainly heed his/her advice, but when a wannabe trouble maker takes pot shots at someone. Well, you see what I'm saying.

BTW, a local CM here here in the Bay Area has seen Murrells work and is EXTREMELY impressed with his cues.

2) Another Member rags on it and YOUR asking price for YOUR cue (way out of line)
3) You correctly tell said Member to F.O. & D. (in as many words)
4) Now you get a BANNED warning for WHAT? defending yourself?

I totally agree with you Koop. I dont agree with how he goes about stating his opinion. Yes most of the time he comes off as argumenative and causes a lot of trouble without cause but all I was saying is that he is intitled to his opinion. Now I dont know if he was intentionally trying to ruin Hals sale but I guess based on his previous history one can easily assume he was. All Im trying to say was lets just stop all the nonsense. Lets not get all worked up about something stupid. This thread was about a cue for sale and now its turned into a flame thread. If Shorty intended to ruin it then he definately succeeded because we are all talking about something else other than Hals cue. I say lets not add fuel to the fire.Koop said:

I agree that Shorty has every right to give his opinion on Hal's asking price, but the legitimacy of his opinion largely depends on how credible he is as an expert on the value of KM cues; IMHO, he knows dick when it comes to cues, and I hold that opinion because I've followed his nonsense on this board for the last few months. I also have first hand knowledge of several nightmarish scenarios involving him as a customer, both with cuemakers and cue dealers and private sellers as well.
Don't respond Hal, but if I receive the same warning I'm outa here. I cannot see any reason for a warning, unless you called him names and I missed it.

Hell!!! I've been chiding Shorty for months now and several times on this thread alone! And furthermore, I stand by every last word I wrote! He is a pain in the ass and completely ignorant on the subject of cues and cuemaking. If anyone here should be warned, its me. I won't object.
