If you take off the bumper cap, and use an exacto knife to cut 8" into the cue, you will see the word replica if it is not real.
Put scotch tape over the cut when you're done.

David worked with Jerry early on at SW then went out on his own and to also work with a couple other makers, then helped start omega DPK and Mike Bender was there with him. It is very possible that a early SW was made by David at least partly if not the whole cue.

According to Laurie, David did design work for them for a while, a few years I think.

Pm me a photo of the cue. Also a clear photo of the pin side view and looking straight down on it. Also, remove the butt bumper and take a picture of inside the hole. It's spelled Kersenbrock.....
