Please don't post in this thread anymore. I'ts pretty clear that the
cue is not a Kersenbrock, and this thread has been bumped a
great deal. I should have posted it in the main section, and not
here in the Wanted/For sale section. I apologize to those with
live for sale threads. Thanks again all for your input. I truly
appreciate it.

Hello all. I saw a cue advertised as a Kersenbrock on Craiglist here locally. My question
is: Is there an easy way to confirm that the cue is actually a Kersenbrock? The pictures
are kind of crappy. I don't mind losing the deal. I'm pretty broke as is, but it might be a
good opportunity for someone. Heres the link below.

I doubt it, the cue doesn't even have ringwork to match the last pic...

I see what you mean about the ring work.Maybe the last pic is a catalog pic or some kind of "stock" photo? I'm so broke,I can't pay attention, but If I had the money,I would communicate with the seller. If it's really a Kersenbrock it is definitely worth the asking price.Looks like a SW satin, except for the joint.Oh well.

This one is from 1975, I don't know what the newer plain janes look like.

It is no a DPK, in my opinion! Ring work is wrong, rubber bumper is wrong. Buyer beware!

Thanks all for your input. Now if everyone said " Yes " its a DPK, I'd be going to the
bank machine. LOL. I did send him an email asking for some sort of letter of Authenticity,
but have yet to receive an email back. Much appreciated.

Spoke to the gentleman. Nice enough guy.....great story about how he got the cue directly from DPK. Just no corroboration......cue is not signed (no surprise) but he has no receipt or documentation.

Be careful my friend

Thank you Don. Funny thing is that the Blue book states that every cue after 1993 that
David made came with a letter of authenticity. Funny how this one didn't. Thanks again.

If it's a real DPK, the seller shouldn't be opposed to sending it to Ed Young's shop to have David authenticate it.

it would seem if the guy was smart enough to have one, he'd be smart enough to know better places to sell it than Craigslist.
