From 20/20:
Jan. 20, 2006 — Are you everything you say you are? Or, like many people, do you have two faces — one you present to the world and one that's the real you? In a special hour, "20/20" brings you stories of people who've re-created themselves and their histories or created careers based on half-truths. Is it lying — or is it just stretching the truth? Is there a difference?
Sweet Marissa said:It was a biased review. They even reported that the members and fans of the pool tour were unaware of his past. And sure, try to interview the guy in the middle of one of the biggest events in the history of pool, which he's spearheading.
Yeah they mentioned it alright. "The Naturalcures.com tournament" is all they said.Melinda said:Do you think the IPT will be mentioned?

Maybe he should have done a sit down with them this time. But then again, the last time he did they caught him lying. So who do we believe, KT or 20/20 whom i personally think is slanted anyway.............mike
Those are good suggestions. It also kind of parallels my thoughts in another thread about promoting the players. They're unique characters - promote them like the PGA Tour promotes its players. Most people might not have a clue who Tim Finchem is, but they know who Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, John Daly, etc are.macguy said:It looked like they wanted to do a segment on him and when he wisely wouldn't sit down with them they found a way of using what they had already shot along with some stock footage for another piece. Totaly forgettable and of no consequence one way of another. It did show though how his reputation no matter how you want to spin it will always keep popping up and taint the pool connection. I don't think at any time he can ever do anything regarding pool other then what he is paying for, he will become the story every time and it will be negative. Here you have here a front man who has to run from any cameras.
The IPT need to hire a recognizable front man. Even someone like an Erik Estrada or a Mr. T or any one of a host of out of work has been's who you could hire for a song that will get face time and can stay on message promoting the tour. I don't know if any of you remember but rocker Cindy Lauper had a lot to do with the resurgence of wrestling some years back. You never know what can be the catalyst. KT need to hide in a closet somewhere and just leave his money if he really cares about helping pool.

With all due respect, why did you segue into this entirely unrelated topic?
As a Roman Catholic, I'm offended by your accusations and think the idea of making the average Catholic pay through the nose for the crimes and misdeeds of specific individuals is a wrong one.
Also, this idea of changing the statute of limitations so more religious bigotry can be spread and a religion trashed and destroyed is beyond the pale.
My heart goes out to those who have been abused. The solution to the problem however is to punish the criminals who commited the deeds, and those who aided and covered up for them, and not to attack the religion as such.
